I started reading this with high hopes. NPR called it a summer romance read. I call it painful. The premise is okay. Clara is broke, couch surfing, while cleaning out storage lockers. She comes across some damning information about a celebrity, and that's where things go wrong for me in this book.
Clara is much too often sort of Jekyll and Hyde in her emotional response, as is Cas, the hero. Neither feel very 'connected' and the dark moment never truly comes. Nothing really happens except for the same argument again and again. He hates her, she then hates him, and he hates her again. And yep, you guessed it, she hates him one more time. On and on until I hated them both.
