I fell head over heels for this story. I’ve loved watching Ben and Aurelia and their flirting and banter back and forth but this time it’s on. This book was everything. I enjoyed watching them figure out how to take care of Bea (Jane Bea) and I really liked how excited and supportive the family was and I also really liked how they finally came together for the baby and in turn, each other. I'm glad that we got to meet Caroline even though her story was heart wrenching and I definitely cried many tears for her but I’m thankful that she got to say goodbye and make peace with everything. The other part that totally made this book for me was the references to previous books and the ending with Ben recreating Duke’s scene, couldn’t have been better! There are always so many amazing lines in Melissa Foster’s books, one of mine from this book was ‘It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting’. Thank you Melissa Foster for another amazing book. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next.
Aurelia & Ben are friends that won’t admit their feelings for each other because either wants to lose the friendship if the other doesn’t feel the same. They are so blind! All of their friends & family have tried to tell them but they don’t want to step out of their comfort zone. Then the unexpected happens. They discover an abandoned baby on the doorstep, Aurelia steps up to helping out, & the close proximity leads to the chemistry taking over!
I enjoyed this story. At the beginning, Ben acted like a typical male struggling with becoming a father but once he accepted it, he was all in. I loved that Bea actually brought Ben & Aurelia together. The families were completely supportive. Ben’s parents & Aurelia’s grandmother added so much to the story. They were the voices of reason. I laughed at Piper always wanting to go yell at or let someone have it. She’s so feisty & sure she’s right! If you want don’t mind a hero with faults, some cursing & lots of hot sexy action, you don’t want to miss this book!
Title: Call Her Mine Series: Harmony Pointe Author: Melissa Foster Designation: Book 1 of Series, Full-Length, Standalone, NO Cliffhanger #contemporary #romanticcomedy #friendstolovers #secretbaby My Rating: Five Captivating Stars*****
Oh my! I loved, loved, loved Call Her Mine! But that's not surprising since I've never read a Melissa Foster book I didn't fall heads over heels for, and Call Her Mine is certainly no exception! I was immediately smitten with the two protagonists, handsome billionaire Ben Dalton and sweet book store owner Aurelia Stark. To quote Forrest Gump, Ben and Relsy went together like peas and carrots! lol... The interaction between these two longtime best friends was off the charts sexy and beyond hilarious. And Baby Bea was such a delightful surprise! There's just so much I enjoyed about Call Her Mine, but probably my favorite element is the sense of family Foster includes in almost all of her novels, their close connection, loyalty, and devotion to each other and since this is a Sugar Lake spinoff, we were also able to catch up with many of the characters from that series. And let's not forget the humor! OMG, there were several scenes that were totally hysterical. I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. But leave it to Foster to also tug at your heartstrings, so expect some tears as well. If asked to describe this book in one sentence, I would simply say: Call Her Mine is a smart, sexy, hilarious, heartwarming, friends to lovers romantic comedy with a swoony hero, a heart-of-gold heroine, an adorable baby, and a generous splash of all the feels. But the big question is: Will he, she, and baby Bea make three? We'll see!
Did I like it? No, I didn't like it; I loved it! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain some steamy, dreamy love scenes. (Notice I said love scenes and not sex scenes, because make no mistake, Ben and Aurelia, aka Rels or Relsy, loved each other very much. Will I read this author again? Absolutely, just as soon as she releases her next book. And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I laughed, I swooned, I raged, I sobbed, and I sighed but by the end, I was happy, satisfied, and well entertained. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Ben and Aurelia are a dynamite couple. From the start you will be laughing out loud at their wild and crazy story. There will also be moments when you will tear up as they deal with the heartbreaks that come their way. They get hot and steamy to keep you turning the page. This is a love story all the way true that has vibrant and very lovable characters. They have been dancing around each other for years until a baby dropped on the doorstep forces them to face the love they have for each other. A marvelous story.
I really enjoyed this book. Watching Ben and Aurelia struggle to express their feelings was cute enough (the scene where it finally happens is actually my favorite part), but the addition of an adorable baby really raised the stakes for me. I kept anxiously wondering about her paternity. There was one point where I was actually concerned that it might not end well. Thankfully, everything worked out in the end (which resulted in me shedding a few tears), but I was on edge for a little bit.
While this book is the first book in the Harmony Pointe series, it's connected to the Sugar Lake series. The characters from there do make appearances, but it's not super overwhelming. You don't need to read those books to understand this one.
Call Her Mine is such a wonderful read. You will fall in love with Ben and Aurelia. They are best friends and always got each other's backs. And in Call Her Mine I love how Aurelia doesn't even hesitate when Ben's surprise baby shows up on his doorstep. Ben is so sworn worthy with how he steps up to be an amazing dad to his daughter. I love how natural Ben and Aurelia are with baby B. Aurelia is amazing. I love how you can just feel the love between Ben and Aurelia before anything even comes out between them. You will just love Bens family. You will laugh out loud through this one as Ben and Aurelia navigate being first-time parents. I loved this one so much and I can't wait to return to Harmony Pointe for more.
