Enjoyed this book and it concluded some threads that had been ongoing. Oscar is still searching for his mom though his story progressed in a different way. Lily's grandmother and her group are a blast. She and her mother's relationship continues to improve.

Interesting story. Probably being unfair in my actual feelings of some disappointment for the book; just because it didn't have all matters end in rainbows and sunshine doesn't mean it wasn't a great read. It was more realistic.

For two people engaged it does seem like they never see each other. Though you can't write about everyday all day so......

I recommend the series. I pre-order as soon as they become available.

**** Was excited at first to see an excerpt from her most recent HAUNTED HOME RENOVATIONS series... but it was just the book June 27,2017 book. So disappointed. Would love to see another crossover between these series. Lily may need a bigger location for her and Sailor to live.

When vintage clothing store owner Lily Ivory stumbles on the uniform of a former prisoner from Alcatraz she knows nothing good can come from it. Then, SFPD inspector Carlos Romero’s cousin is kidnapped, and Lily suspects something dangerous has been unleashed on the ghost-ridden island of Alcatraz.

All this is taking place while Lily is getting ready for her handfasting with her boyfriend, Sailor. There is also an evil force at work in San Francisco, and Lily is ready to take it on, and make sure good comes out on top.

This visit to the magical world of San Francisco is a fantastic tale. Lily is getting ready to join with the love of her life. Helping her to celebrate is her mother, and her mother's coven, visiting from Texas. They are great fun to read about, and I loved how Ms. Blackwell worked them into the story. This series has been building up to the fight against a demonic evil, and the climax of it was perfect. Working in Alcatraz was a great addition to the story, and it made this book a real page turner.

The Witchcraft series is one of my favorites. It is also one that I'd love to reread, and wish I could read again for the first time so I could savor every word.

This is one of my favorite paranormal mystery series and this tenth installment was worth the wait, in my opinion. Juliet Blackwell has done a wonderful job of crafting the character of Lily Ivory. Over the course of ten books, the reader has watched Lily grow in both her magic and her relationships. She had gone from solitary witch to building a family and community that supports her and provides her with friendship and love. With this 10th installment, the author continues to develop Lily's magic and her position in the magical community. The mystery element was well done and this book had me hooked from the first chapter. Like every other book in the series, once I crack open the spine the book I just want to devour each page.

I am looking forward to what this author has in store for Lily, Sailor, Oscar and all the other secondary characters as she continues to grow and develop this series. I will definitely be back for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Magical Masterpiece!

I loved this book! Some of the magical witch books are too over the top silly, but not this enchanting series from Blackwell. She writes characters you care about and weaves the paranormal skillfully into the everyday life of a young woman living in San Fran. Lily owns a vintage clothes shop and is surrounded by loyal friends, witchy foes and a handsome boyfriend in the mysterious Sailor. At any given time Lily might be battling demons, cooking Tater Tots for her pet pig/ Familiar or scoring vintage a ball gowns from an elderly widow. This book was terrific and kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end. Kudos to Ms. Blackwell for the most satisfying and original book I’ve read in a long time.

Lily Ivory has come to the point of reckoning. Just before she is to wed Sailor, Lily becomes immersed in trying to recover a kidnap victim. As the series began, so this book harkens back was to the elements and questions laid out through the series. Is the presence of so many potent beings a portent or happenstance? Graciela and her coven have arrived, Lily’s estranged mother is attempting to practice magic and Renna, Sailor’ s aunt, appears to be under the influence of a demon. Will Lily’s powers be enough?
The showdown is here!
I loved every minute of it and my heart was fulfilled by every aspect of the plot!

If you’re looking into Book 10 of this quirky witchcraft series, it’s likely you’re already smitten with Lily, Oscar and the whole gang of misfits that hang out at Aunt Cora’s Closet. And they’re all back, along with some fun, new characters (as in Graciela’s Coven), reunited in support of Lily and Sailor in their upcoming hand-fasting. Of course, a little supernatural intervention is required to assure the ceremony goes off without a hitch, but the powers that be are poised to defend their beloved Bay Area. Only a few pages in, I felt this was already the best book of this series. That notion held throughout the continuing saga of Lily, Ivory and Sailor. I can’t wait for the honeymoon addition, as it promises to bring Oscar’s story front and center. Enjoy!

I waited for the release of this book impatiently as I LOVE this series and I just can’t get enough of Lily and her friends. This book is a very riveting and suspenseful read from start to finish. Will Lily prevail or will she fail this time? Will she and Sailor ever get to have their handfasting? What is the big threat coming for San Fransisco? Now that I finished this book, I feel sad that I don’t know when I’ll get to ‘see’ Lily and all the others again. Definitely recommend this book and the entire series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Showdown time for Lily and a familiar foe

There is (necessarily) a lot of history in this episode of our favourite vintage loving witch, which, while interesting slows down the pace of the story quite a bit. That, and mass of characters to keep track of is why I've only given the book 4stars. I would hazard a guess this might be the last of Lily's adventures, but I could be wrong. Anyway, if you enjoyed the rest of the series, you'll want to read this one.
