I am a fan of Amy, but this book was disappointing.
#Spoiler alert
I intensely disliked the female character. I found Hannah to be pathetic and immature. How many times can a person murmur: I don't know and I am sorry, over and over again? That is about all that came across.
For 30+ year old she acted childish and selfish. She is a terrible mother who never communicates with her son, confusing him and she did not bother to ever engage enough with him to ask about his feelings.
And this thing about her allowing Aaron to get his hopes up is again selfish and cruel. She lied constantly - to her father, her family, Aaron, and then she felt sorry for herself, and said: I just don't know and I am sorry. Sorry. So sorry. (I am rolling my eyes.)
I felt no empathy. I wanted to say: GROW UP, ALREADY!!
