I always find it strange when I get sucked in by imaginary people building up imaginary power to fight make believe monsters. Silly me, that's what reading is all about. This story is fun! I though that id lose interest when he started powering himself up solo, but something about stealing power from bad guys to improve oneself and carry out heroic acts is just AWESOME! Apollos Thorne has in this series everything that makes this genre great. Kudos on the best installment yet. Only sad it had to end. Easily rivaling for the top spot with Aldrin Kong and his Land series. Waiting impatiently for the next installment to this and the Codename series that is equally well done. PLEASE HURRY lol. What a page-turner! There is so much about this book that works that it is virtually impossible to decide where to start. The characters grow in power for sure as does the challenges they face. They also grow deeper in our understanding of who they are and what drives them.

Crunch? Sure, there's plenty of stats, spells, and ability descriptions. It blends into the story well and doesn't take away from the driving force that compells the reader to miss hours of sleep.

This series is going downhill. While they constantly talk about how powerful all these creatures out there are the MC is ridiculously OP. The worst part however is the lack of any character development. None of these characters are getting developed, I can't even keep which human is which straight. There is really no interaction between the characters and the relationships are bland to say the best. G rated relationships between a bunch of young adults is odd enough but there isn't any real interactions between the characters.

Love this story, another great addition that furthers the story. Love the MC and glad to see he's back to the solo that made the first book so good. Glad it wasn't another, "Wait for X Monster to attack us and we somehow win". The lich character will be interesting to see more of and how he can help the MC. This series really is my favorite LitRPG, took first after the crapshoot that was the last The Land novella.

This may be my favorite book in the series so far. After the slow down of book 3 and 4 the series sparks with new life and a great story. Everything progresses so well and the author just draws you in.
This book surpassed everything I thought it was going to be and I can't wait to see what the author does with Elorion next.
