One thing I love about Micalea's books is she always does what's true to her characters. She does what's best for them and doesn't portray toxic relationship habits just because that may be what her readers want. Yes, she could take the fast and easy route to happily after and healthy habits be damn, but what kind of example is that?
Dani and Lachlan is no different. It's so hard to write this review without giving away spoilers. One thing I can say is how much I loved Dani and Lachlan, as a couple and as individuals. They grew so much not just together, but apart as well individually which is just as important, if not more so.
This book may be a little long, but every part is necessary to the story. And so worth it.
I just love the characters so much and wish I could read this for the first time all over again.
I'm worried if I write all my thoughts and feelings towards this book, I'd spoil it. One thing I will say is it has a Happily Ever After...
P.S. That cover... I may have thought it pretty before, but after reading the book I feel in love with it for the symbolism.
