One thing I love about Micalea's books is she always does what's true to her characters. She does what's best for them and doesn't portray toxic relationship habits just because that may be what her readers want. Yes, she could take the fast and easy route to happily after and healthy habits be damn, but what kind of example is that?
Dani and Lachlan is no different. It's so hard to write this review without giving away spoilers. One thing I can say is how much I loved Dani and Lachlan, as a couple and as individuals. They grew so much not just together, but apart as well individually which is just as important, if not more so.
This book may be a little long, but every part is necessary to the story. And so worth it.
I just love the characters so much and wish I could read this for the first time all over again.
I'm worried if I write all my thoughts and feelings towards this book, I'd spoil it. One thing I will say is it has a Happily Ever After...

P.S. That cover... I may have thought it pretty before, but after reading the book I feel in love with it for the symbolism.

I was needing a good book and Sweet Dandelion delivered! I honestly thought it would be good but not near as good as it actually is. Dani has been through so much and has a lot to work through when she finds Lachlan. I would actually love to hear more about what Lachlan was going through in this book. That’s probably my only wish. I now need a book for the other characters. I’m just so in love with the story.
There are sections that are fairly steamy but it never seems to go too overboard.
I love the length of the book too. I was afraid it was going to be short but it’s not! The author really takes us through everything that Dani has to go through from the struggle of the first day of school to her beautiful happy life years laters.
Can’t wait to read more!

There aren't enough words to explain the emotions I went through reading this book, and watching Dani's journey. This book is by far my favorite Student/Teacher novel I've ever read.
Sometimes when you start a book, you're able to take breaks, but not this book. I lived and breathed this book until I finished.
The love story inside this amazing journey is one that we can only hope to find some day. Micalea did an amazing job of making Lachlan and Dani's journey real.
All I can say is that this book will stay with me until the day I die. It'll definitely be a book I read multiple times, and is my top read of 2020 right now.

I loved this book so much! It is a student-teacher/counselor romance, but I feel like it’s done really well.

I wouldn’t say this is a steamy book.. so if that’s what you’re looking for maybe skip with one. The main character has been through a trauma and has to repeat her senior year over.

The Hero is so caring, patient and understanding I just love them together!
The side characters were amazing too, you may even fall in love with Dandelions best friend, because he’s pretty great at well!

There were some parts towards the end that seemed to drag out a tiny bit... but I also just wanted to get to the happy ending so that could have been my preference.

I love this book so much definitely give it a read!

Oh my gosh I can't say enough how much I loved this book. How so much heartbreak can one person endure. Moving in with her brother who is young and taking on the responsibility that comes with losing his parents is unimaginable. I didn't want to stop reading this, I was afraid I would miss something. Dani finds a calm to her storm in her guidance counselor. They fight hard to do the right thing but love was what they wanted with each other. I love the characters in the story her brother Sage,Sasha, and Ansel was her support system but she needed to feel free and feel alive and that's what Lachlen brought to her life..

This book was so good! I loved everything about Dani and Lachlan! Dani is an eighteen year old senior who has survived a school shooting. She has moved to Salt Lake City to live with her twenty five year old brother, Sage. Lachlan is her school guidance counselor. She has a crush on him. This is a slow burn and starts off innocent. These characters have you rooting for them throughout the book. It is definitely a book of feels. I fell in love with her secondary characters as well. Truly did not want to leave this book. Lachlan is definitely one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. He reads. Enough said! Grab this book! You will not be sorry! 5 over the top stars!

Sweet Dandelion will suck you in from the first page and won’t let go until the last. Although this book is long, every page is worth it. Dani went through an unspeakable tragedy, one that changes her life. After starting out at a new school, she starts attending sessions with the counselor, Lachlan. The two form a bond, strong and pure, yet forbidden. I felt so many emotions while reading this story, and I know for sure I’ll be rereading it soon. There are a million things I could say about this book, but I’ll narrow it down to two: Must. Read.

This was a very slow read for me literally because I kept stopping and starting other stories in between then going back to it. I do like forbidden love stories but because Danni was still in high school the relationship she had with Lachlan her school guidance councelor and the 11 year age gap between them didn't feel appropriate or sit easy with me and that's why it took quite a while for me to warm up to it. It's a long read with 584 pages and 86 chapters but I got there in the end eventually. It ends with a HEA a few years into the future which I felt more happier about.

It was a good read, the romance was sweet and even though their relationship was seen as ‘taboo’, it still seemed normal because of how good they were together. I loved both characters. And the story was lovely as well.

The other ratings of this book confuse me. This story had no direction, no pull, and glorifies an adult in a position of trust taking advantage of a minor. I have no idea who this book is written for. The sex scenes are pretty explicit for young teens and story is too much teen angst to be written for adults. It was just a wandering mess of a storyline.
