I could not put this one down and finished the entire book in less than a day. Many LITRPG novels tend to be repetitive and get bogged down in over-explaining everything. This novel, however, was a breath of fresh air.
The protagonist Sungchil Kim may be an over-powered sociopath but he serves as a highly entertaining guide to "Other World," a very brutal and unforgiving dimension where the powerful elite abduct humans from Earth and pit them in deadly games for their amusement and personal gain. If you're fortunate enough to survive, you have a brand new world to explore as an adventurer, and possibly the sponsorship of an influential faction if you truly impress (or are lucky enough to be related to someone in a high position.) If you can't cut the mustard, you'll either end up as slave labor or as food for hungry monsters. We follow veteran warrior Kim as he poses as a n00b in these games so that he can gain new abilities and attributes to fight his nemesis, the demon king. The author does a great job of not making things too easy for the anti-hero, while at the same time showcasing how big of a badass he is. It all makes for a well-paced and addictive adventure.
If you are even remotely interested in the LITRPG genre, this is a must-read.
