This is true novel, you don't get cheated on the length. Some of the books coming out in this genre are decent stories but lack length. It was nice to read a book that took longer than two days to finish! Good story, all the main characters are well developed and had realistic interactions. I enjoyed that fact that there was a sense of loss and grief when characters died. This definitely gave the characters more depth. There was a great reference to Baldur's Gate that some older readers might get (you must gather your party.......)
The only problem with this story was an obvious reliance on spell check instead of editing. One other reviewer mentioned angels and angles, but that was just one of many word choice mistakes. Really got frustrated at times and almost lost my sense of immersion. Still a great story with its grammatical flaws.
