5.0 out of 5 starsBeautiful book! Wonderful perspectives on sexuality!

Beautiful, poetic book, with lovely illustrations. Explores themes of sexuality, humanity, and self discovery. In addition, one of the only books I've ever read with good bisexual representation. Absolutely would recommend!
A quick read that shows a life perspective that is sorely lacking from mainstream reads. 4/5 as I would have loved more plot (author attempts to cover a wide range of experience, with little depth). Give it a try!

This book is creative, unique, deep, personal and insightful. I was in awe the whole time and have purchased it as a gift for friends. Vivek is very brave bringing this story, sorely needed, into the the melting pot of modern literature, making our pool of stories richer, more inclusive and more truthful.
This is an amazing story! The weaving of reimagined Hindu mythology with the love story of a questioning man is beautifully done. There are parallels that bring forth contemplation and discussion of gender and sexuality. It discusses how damaging labels can be to self-awareness and the enjoyment of love, wherever it's found. I highly recommend this books and if you listen to the audiobook you get to hear the author sing!
Beat read in a long time, couldn't put it down. Thought provoking and so cleverly written. An interest in the subject matter adds to the enjoyment but previous knowledge is not required. The world needs more people to read this book and others like it.

Wonderful book with beautiful prose and imagery. I suggest slowing down with this read and taking it all in. My only complaint is that I wanted a bit "more" - both in length of the book and in depth of the mythology
