5.0 out of 5 starsThe Rendezvous
Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2019
The Rendezvous is very interesting in the way it provides scriptures to explain the worldwide events. I cannot wait to see how this story unfold. I have ideas on which way is probable, and it is exciting to think about the path this story will take. No profanity from the veterans, and it makes me wonder why others think soldiers have limited vocabularies. Perhaps it is the authors malady and they blame veterans. The Rogue"s existence is frightening and believable, because the world shall be shaken. Great story line, honest characters, and a little romance in an end of the world as we know it book is intriguing.
5.0 out of 5 starsHeart-pumping action, new characters added to the cast, and yet another cliff-hanger ending—argh!

THE RENDEZVOUS is volume 2 in the PLANETS SHAKEN series by
Lee W. Brainard
. It takes volume 1, THE ROGUE, up a notch and delivers an exciting sequel with more to come in the series. If you're a science person and have never heard of electric universe cosmology, if you're a history-lover and have never read about historical catastrophism, if you're into archaeology and have never connected the Bible with the fossil record, if you're military and like FBI and special ops stuff, if you like sci-fi or prophecy thrillers, if you're a bit into conspiracy theory or wary of Big Brother or wonder about government cover-ups, if you're not so sure about Christians or the Bible or Jesus and how it all is supposed to work, prepare yourself for another good-read that might throw some fresh light on subjects as old as the earth and consider afresh the nature of the universe and the destiny of the world. I'm an author, I don't have a lot of time to read. That time is reserved for books that grab my attention early and KEEP it. The Rendezvous did that. I loved the action, I loved the band of resistance the author is building. I am also a Christian who has heard Bible prophecy my whole life. I was intrigued by the author's interpretation. I can't wait for book 3.
Really enjoyed these two books although there were times when I got a little bogged down in the science. A good story of governments attempted control of information. I don't doubt that the government would put people in FEMA camps to enforce their will. The bigger story is the comet headed out way. Where's the next book!

Wasn't really certain what direction the first book was going in, but it was definitely a good read and made me want to read the next one in this series. Unfortunately, I had to wait awhile. So now I guess I get to sit on pins and needles waiting for the Planets Shaken Book 3! I hope it comes out soon! I want to see where this all goes! I love the development of the characters and I love where the storyline seems to be going. Don't keep us in suspense too long, Mr. Brainard!
I was trying to decide which was better, book 1 or 2, but it ‘s a toss up. Audio books are my preferred media, so I read this book in Kindle with Voice Over on. I can do my nails or whatever. I was enjoying the book and before I knew it, it had come to an end. I’m really looking forward to book 3. I hope it ‘s in audio.
This is a wonderful sequel to book one. It keeps moving forward at a steady pace! I really liked the continuing saga of the characters you got to know. I'm really wondering how the author will tie everything together in book three. Looking forward to it!
