I was immediately drawn to the first of the "Jessica Shaw mysteries" because of the story's location. Being a native of So Cal I enjoyed the familiarity of the locations. I am also a high desert dweller, so the next books just got better and better. What I found most intriguing is the author's style of putting the stories together by chapters of the characters, dates and places, it really makes the characters come alive. I love the unpredictable twists in the stories . I also appreciate that the violence is not described in gory details, the author gives just enough to get the gist of what happened. Looking forward to another!

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. However, this one had so many characters with real names and phony names that I had a hard time following the story and/or caring about the characters. Hope the next one spends more time on the development of Jessica herself.

I love Lisa Gray's writing! Her characters are interesting, her descriptions are fantastic and the stories are ones you don't want to stop reading. I read a lot and Lisa has now become one of my favorite authors. I hope she has many more stories to tell!

This is the 3rd Jessica novel. All 3 are great reads. It’s fascinating to see the author weave seemingly unrelated events together. Jessica lives a lifestyle unlike anybody’s. Read the books to understand what I mean. I thank Lisa Gray for 3 good books

I read all 3 Jessica Shaw books in a very short amount of time. The stories are so well written and captivating. Truly a pleasure. I look forward to future books in this series. I can't recommend these enough for anyone who loves thrillers.
I've read Lisa Gray's two previous Jessica Shaw mysteries and enjoyed them both; however, I think this one is the best. Couldn't put it down and the ending was a twist.

I got the first book in this series as an Amazon First Read and enjoyed it sufficiently to buy the sequels. Jessica Shaw is a PI with a flawed history trying to establish herself. Hired to find a missing woman, she finds three other women went missing in a similar place on a lonely desert road. There are flashback chapters setting the scene for each of these and Jessica must piece the evidence together to find out what happened. Needless to say, the pieces start to intertwine, but the story goes in a different direction to the way I expected. Over the years I have read several Amazon First Read books by female authors and I found them less readable as a male. This series does not have that problem for me. I look forward to Jessica Shaw book 4.

I love this series, each time getting to know Jessica a bit better, this action packed book kept me guessing until the very end, Jessica saw a connection between three missing women and doesn't stop until she finds it, I hope she finds love in the next book

This is the 3rd book in the series and each one is better than the last. The plot is complex enough to keep you guessing but presented in a way that makes it easy to follow and plausible.
