This author has so many characters in his head. You cannot guess where the story may take you. He is a master of the unexpected. I loved reading this book of short stories. Thank you Mosley. This helps heal my psychic during this pandemic. Please Please Please Bring Easy to life in a new novel soon.
Walter Mosley never disappoints! Great short stories about, life, love and the deceit that sometimes follows. I really enjoy the fact that I never know how the story will end. The endings are always unexpected. That is one of the things that makes reading his books so entertaining. I am already looking forward to the next book. Easy was ALWAYS one of my favorite characters. Thank you Walter Mosley! I will always be a fan!
I liked how I would be SOOOOO surprised with the endings. So many thought provoking human circumstances, situations, and humans. And short and so sweet. I so much want to see more of this author's work in films.

This collection will throw you some curves as it moves from genre to genre in its narratives. One may be naturalistic and the next a piece of science fiction and the next one a little magical. In every case, there are insights and memorable characters to be found.

I really enjoyed this collection of small books. I read three of the stories before realizing that my coffee had gone cold. I pray that we can see a full length novel that allows us to experience more of the adventures of Billy, from Showdown on the Hudson.

stories and charactors too similar to each other. Just a struggle read and maybe a struggle to write. Not very compelling, BUT since he can really write he 'gets away' with a really sub par performance.
I really enjoyed the pace of the short stories in this book. It was easy to get through each one in a short time frame. As always Mosley's character development is complete even though the story is short.
