First off, allow me a chance to express a profoundly appreciated opinion of this story which began as a side story and created through the expressive and talented Sarah Noffke. I had first become enthralled with her writing as an expanded story of a scifi book. It was with Olivia Baeufont series which has inspired me to devour her writing like a child eat ice cream on a warm summers day or that first cup of hot chocolate on a snowy day. While a little slow at the start you will soon acquire a wanderlust desire to delve deeply into the continuing adventure of Sophia and her loving dragon. Sarah's gift for pop culture will leave your inner geek full over with joy feelings.

Sophia and Lunis will whisk your imagination away on an adventure as she battle danger, thrills, snarky humor and time travel in book two of this expressive Author's series. Having consumed forty-two stories by Sarah Noffke, I can say this is one of finest reads to date.

I have been reading Sarah's books from Sarah, Luv and Sophie. I love these books. They are a lot to read. Magic Mike put together a mind blowing team. Not a dog in the bunch. I served in the State Dept. For a long time until I took one bomb to many. You guys keep me going. I start back cancer treatment in Jan 2020. Please pray for me. Bless you Mike, Martha and Sarah and all of the other writers. Have a successful and prosperous 2020. Peace, Allen I think an active brain is a happy one! Great job!

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, now I remember....

I mentioned in my review of book 1 that I had hesitated in picking up this series. Well, this book quickly reminded me of why I worried.

There are just too many plot devices that are heavily flawed. Characters who are more tropes than living and breathing characters. Deus ex Machina characters who drop just enough information to move the tale along without really being part of the plot.

And some of those were good things.

Seriously this book felt like the length was padded by too many "go here to get information quests" and too many times a random character dropped a single sentence and suddenly Sophia knew exactly where to go next or what to do. Its like the big mystery part of the plot isn't important to the author. Instead Sophia is moved from set piece to set piece occasionally engaging in very bloodless combat on a couple of occasions, but without the drama a good story might have.

In the end, I felt this was readable and even enjoyable on a couple of levels, but compared to other books out there, it wasn't all that great.

Sophie is trying to find with her mother's sword but nothing seems to work. She also must retrieve the stolen Dragon eggs. Why does everything have to be so complicated? Why is Viking so against technology. This book is full of action and adventure. Magic abounds. Truly a five star read and a trip down memory lane if you have read the author's other works.

Really love this series, and we’re only 2 books in! Love all the new characters and that the old ones still make appearances. Adventure and mystery don’t let you down either

Yes I did, I cried. Without spoiling the book for those who have not already read it, this second book of the series was a heart wrencher, action packed and thought provoking. Sophia. Lunis & co are all drawing together. Mama Jamba makes me laugh, Hiker I just want to kick him into the current century. All in all a brilliant book. I have already pre-ordered the next one.

Sophia is saving the World, one assignment after another. She has the most fantastic 'help' throughout, but it's her willingness to think outside the box, that is her greatest asset. Can't wait for the next one.
