5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Stars! Noah and And Molly’s Love Story will have you smiling!

This story, this book, it truly made my heart happy. Sometimes you just need a story that will have you smiling while reading and crying happy tears by the end of the story, becoming just so enthralled and in love with characters like Molly and Noah. A slow burn, hate to love romance that not only has the sizzling chemistry but the emotional ache of loving someone who has the power to destroy your whole world.

“How had I ever thought I could live a full life, a satisfying life, if I didn't have this in it? What a fool I'd been.”

Oblivious to what his life has become, Noah has let his success in football become a solitary endeavor, outside distractions of women not even on his radar, going as far as to become celibate for the last few years, a true testament to his dedication. Yet, with one kiss, Molly has the power to undue the walls he has built up and decimate his heart, leaving him longing for more off the field than he ever needed before. With an underlying messy history of a teenage crush that ended poorly, this hate to love story builds with the anticipation of when Molly and Noah would finally let the sparks from 10 years ago come to fruition as adults. And let me tell you- when Noah’s control finally snaps - holy WOW, that man can take care of a woman in the bedroom.

What I loved most about this book is Molly and her ability to see the best in others even if she didn’t always see the best in herself. A beautifully giving soul, I was yelling for Noah to open his eyes and see that Molly was the one that would bring meaning to his life outside of sports, a true match for his grumpy demeanor. With those rare smiles from Noah warming my heart, I fell head over heals in love with this book and would highly recommend it! 5 stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute and adorable enemies to friends to lovers sports romance!

I really enjoyed this one.

It was a solid sports romance, which featured a couple that had history, and real chemistry. Slow burn plot, while also focusing on friendship and character growth. The overall plot was well developed and moved smoothly along.

The idea of a TV show was something unique, and the way Noah opened up whenever Molly was around made me smile. His transformation was really remarkable.

All in all the book was cute, heart-warming, and just one of those books that leave you with a smile at the end of it. Drama and angst was at a minimum. Instead the focus was on the characters, their relationships, and an overall feel-good story.

Easily recommendable to any romance reader.

I found this book okay and did not really connect with Molly. She harbored a crush on Noah and pursued him. I felt that she just landed on his lap without him putting much effort. Towards the end, he had to put in more of an effort but I wasn’t really liking Molly at that point.

Karla Sorensen is a new author to me. Focused is a crazy good sports romance between Noah, a singularly focused, uber successful football player and Molly, a career driven football family princess. The plot is predictable but the writing is exceptional, funny and believable. Ms. Sorensen has that unique way with words that allows the reader to feel the sweat, live the scene and smell the air. After reading the first book in her Ward family series, I'm about to go AWOL in my own family. I love when I find a truly creative, well written story that makes me laugh, cry and stay up all night. I plan on binge reading the rest of her books shortly, so its gonna be a cereal for dinner and find your own socks world around my house for the next week. Momma's got some reading to do!

I loved pushing the story into the next generation. I loved our gal as a child and I loved her as an adult. The pressure she must have felt to have lived in the world of football all of her life. The alpha men who came before helped to shape the narrative of this book. Then we have our guy. His life could have been altered when he was seen last so he is beyond upset when he lands on this new team. I loved the story between this couple. I clearly want more. I would have loved to have a bit more for the epilogue. It felt a little rushed. I loved having the window into the world of the first three now older couples. This is where I really wanted more. I really wanted to know what had happened for each of them. I understand the author having made the decisions to move the story to the next generation. That said she created characters we came to love and they really needed to be included more. They were to an extent but could have been more. All in all I loved this cast. Please give us a little more of what we want in the books to come. Great job!!! denise bailey

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing start for the Ward Sister's Series!!

Molly Ward hasn’t seen the boy who used to live next door since she got caught climbing through his bedroom window when she was a teenager trying to turn her crush into something more. Fast-forward ten years, and Noah Griffin is back in Molly’s world. As the newest edition to the Washington Wolves roster, Noah is the key to advancing Molly’s career.

Noah doesn’t want anything to do with Molly Ward. Sure, she’s beautiful, but after she climbed in his window when they were teenagers, he realized he needed to focus on the one thing he could control in his life, football. And for the last 10 years, he has succeeded. However, when he and Molly are forced to work in a closer capacity than he wanted, he realizes that the Molly is a force all her own, and hard to ignore. Both have something on the line, are they willing to risk it and give in to the undeniable chemistry they have?

Holy hotness. Noah Griffin is the epitome of control and nothing brought me more joy than Molly knocking down the walls he built around himself and helping him lose some of that control! This book was full of white-hot chemistry and the back and forth banter between Molly and Noah was amazing!! Their unconventional start made this book that much more enjoyable for me! Absolute perfection, I am so ready for book 2!

I can't believe nobody bothered to copy edit this book properly. Lots of articles either missing or there's too many of them. I stopped around the 30% mark where Molly is wearing a shirt that's too tight and Noah doesn't want to notice her shirt is too tight. That sort of repetitive description is something you'd catch in a good copy edit. Jenny Sims, getting called out right here because yeah I looked in the acknowledgments and while the onus is on the author to do all those final checks, Jenny could have done a better job. Too bad because this was exactly the kind of smut I was looking for and I didn't even make it to the sexual tension ...

Haven't read a sports romance in a long time but this story had me hooked from start to finish. Based around two individuals who have any awkward history and slowly builds from a dislike to tolerance, to something more. Their story was beautiful and had me laughing along in the funny moments and teary in the emotional parts. I enjoyed their story, I'm keen to read more from this family.
