I really enjoy reading Devon Monk books. The Ordinary Magic series is really interesting. It follows 3 sisters that live in a town full of gods & other various supernatural beings. The gods must give up their powers & set them aside (place them in storage, essentially) in order to reside in the town. All kinds of interesting things happen in this town. This book is a collection of short stories from the series. Each is told from a different sister's point of view, which is nice because I really got a feel for the personality & thought process of each sister. These novellas are fun reads, but make more sense if the reader has read the series' books - the reader will not be lost if they start the series here, but the experience & understanding is better by reading the actual novels first. I definitely recommend this story collection & the entire Ordinary Magic series.

I love the universe that Monk writes in, where gods can take a vacation in a town, in Oregon! I have passed my addiction on to a good friend! We love this! Both the writing style and the stories give my heart an easy feeling. It is like curling up with your favorite: pet, blanket, whomever or whatever. Knowing that you can feel warm and relaxed to survive any edge of seat parts. Takes me away from this awful year and other less comfortable years. PLEASE continue Ms. Monk! 4.5 Stars... This is a collection of three novellas in the "Ordinary Magic Series"... Each story follows a different Reed sister in her quest for love while living in a supernatural world... I really enjoyed getting an in depth look at both Jean and Myra and hearing their voices share their hopes and fears... The final story focusing on Myra and Bathin segues into the next full length novel, "Dime a Demon"... The chemistry between these two was off the charts; I also want to dig deeper into Bathin's past and his true intentions in Ordinary as well as for Myra... So looking forward to this read:)
