First off I am a huge fan of Lorelei James, her books never disappoint.

After reading about the Lund's in Need You series first and then the Want You series, I was so happy to see Nolan get his own book. Mr All Work and No Play has met his match is Gabriella "Gabi" Welk. Their banter from snippy to friendly and then to love was fun to watch.

Their jabs at each other are so funny, their text messages back and forth is where I think they got to actually know each other better. Their text messages were hysterical, the goofy jokes and to me is where they fell in love.

Nolan - Gabi brought out the fun in Nolan. We continue to see his sweet side with his niece Mimi and we saw it in the beginning of the book when he overhears Gabi's boyfriend break up with her. I think a lot of people underestimate how business smart he is. It annoyed me when his cousins kept important information from him, especially in his position with the company to be made to feel like an outsider. He is caring and socially conscious, more than the fashion plate everyone thinks he is. He doesn't want to just stick his name and donate money he wants to be fully involved and the youth LGBTQ with the help and suggestion from his assistant Sam. The care he showed for his assistant going from Samantha to Sam is a credit to his character. I love the relationship he has with his stylist too.

Gabi - Tough with a heart of gold. We see what she sacrificed to make it to the Olympics. The expectations put on her from her parents was wrong and I'm sure they regretted it later. The relationship with her sister is strained when she and Gabi's boyfriend get together. Gabi is a gal I'd like to hang out and have a margarita with, she's fun, takes not crap, she sticks up for herself and even though she is a tough cookie she is a softie on the inside. I loved when she was at the All Star match up she gets her licks in with her enemy. She would be the friend you want, will have your back and would do anything for you. She will keep her word or secret even if it's hard on her.

I think they fell in love with each other over their silly texts and jokes. The shopping spree he took her on for her job interview. He was extremely busy but when she needed his help he was there and this was in the very beginning of their "frenemies' stage. When his Dad has a sudden illness she is there for him. I loved how he was when she is considering a job opportunity that would keep them apart and sadly a conflict of interest that can cause serious issues on both sides.

I am not doing this book justice in my review, I just don't want to give too much away. This book was so good and I was so happy to see another installment of the Lund family. I hope there are plenty more.

Want You To Want Me by Lorelei James is book 2 in the Want You series. This stars Nolan Lund, future CEO of the Lund Industries. He’s been the playboy billionaire, the spare waiting in the wings for his brother to take his place in the company. Then his brother rejects his position in LI and Nolan must take it. No one takes him seriously at LI due to his past reputation and he fills he must do double duty to earn respect from his cousins and family.

Gabriela Welk, former Olympic hockey player, is at a crossroads in her life. Her boyfriend just broke with her for her sister. She is looking for a new career path. Her and Nolan have always had a little animosity toward each other over misconceptions of the recent past. After he apologizes for his mistakes, their competitive spirit grabs hold of them. They find themselves having fun and become friends. Always a snappy dresser, Nolan helps Gabi prepare her wardrobe for a once in a lifetime job interview. Friendship quickly escalates to love and relationship.

Nolan and Gabi are the perfect couple. They have a witty banter and I loved their text messages to each other. Nolan is sexy, smart, and charming. Gabi is tough but vulnerable, selfless, and beautiful. Lorelei James never fails to amaze me with her writing. Her stories remain fresh, heartwarming and brilliant. I wanted to continue reading more about Nolan and Gabi even though their story was over. They are one of my top Lorelei couples.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love Gabi and Nolan!

Want You to Want Me is sort of an enemies to lovers story, which is not one of my favorite tropes, but I really enjoyed this book. The reason I don’t typically like this trope is I get tired of the arguing and constant sniping at each other—it’s just not why I read romance. There is a little negative interaction between Nolan and Gabi, but it quickly disappears as they get to know each other and realize they’ve each misjudged the other. This book was very funny. Their text conversations were my favorite—cute and amusing, and an excellent device for them to let down their guards and allow themselves to be vulnerable. It worked perfectly! I really liked both these characters, their humor, integrity, and how they both struggled to find their places in their families and their careers. There were several laugh out loud moments for me, and a couple heartbreaking moments, too. A definite must read.

Want you to Want Me (The Want You Series, Book2) By Lorelei James

I absolutely love this book. I’ve been waiting for Nolan’s book for awhile and I’m so glad I finally got to read it. I think Gabby is positively perfect for Nolan. The chemistry with between these two just makes your heart melt. This book has a little bit of everything in it. It made me cry and it made me laugh and then it made me cry some more. I’m so glad that Nolan and Gabby have finally gotten their happy ending.
P.S. Some of my favorite scenes are them text messaging back-and-forth. It’s just so real life.
