Lori Wilde writes a good romance. This story was fun to read. It featured two people: Emma Montgomery, an English major who came to Honey, TX with Leigh Barrett, a classmate and friend. The promise Leigh made was come home with me where a job and place to stay awaits. What Emma did not know was the fact the Leigh had not told her brother, Nathan. Nathan Barrett, CEO at Barrett Software, is the other featured person and he not at all surprised by anything his rambunctious sister might do. He hires Emma as his assistant at Barrett Software and cleans out a garage for her to call home for awhile. Nathan is a computer whiz who very committed to his successful company as a means of support for the town. Emma finds that there is a great deal of pressure on everyone at Barrett Software as they strive to work out the bugs on a new product that should take the software market by storm if the problems can be overcome. Emma, an English major, has plans of working on a Ph.D. after the summer and this stint in Honey. Nathan needs to stay in Honey, TX because Barrett Software supports the town. With two different and divergent dreams in place, their relationship Nathan and Emma has will go nowhere without the change of one or the other's dream. I will not give away how this story ends but it was a thrill to see what challenges each person faced and the dawning awareness that they loved each other but did not know what to do!
Honey, Texas is a small town where everyone knows your name. They also know who you are dating, where you went and well you get the idea. Leigh Barrett is a little bit crazy but she loves her brother Nathan. She doesn't feel bad at all about bringing home her friend Emma from college. She even offers Emma a job at Nathans business and a place to stay in his garage apartment. This is all well and good except she forgot to tell Nathan all this. Now this is just the beginning. You need to read the book to find out where this is going to go. I will say I loved every minute of this book and hated for it to end.
I loved everything about this story. I loved the small town setting of Honey, Texas and all of it's quirky characters, and that includes Rufus. The sparks flew between Nathan and Emma from the first moment they met. I had to laugh when they took their first walk through town to get ice cream, and came upon Rufus. Now that was funny, but not as funny as it was when they were out jogging one morning, and had to stop to help get Rufus in the Van.
I loved Nathan and his family, but I have to admit...Leigh Barrett is a little bit crazy. But she's also a lot of fun. And Trent was a total goof-ball, too. I can't even imagine him being a the serious kind of Chief of Police, when he's always hanging out with air-headed bimbo's. lol! I also loved the little bit of both Megan and Chase, we got to see.
Loved everything about this story, and can't wait to read more!

Handsome Boss is the second book in this series and It’s just as good as Handsome Rancher. I absolutely love Honey, Texas and its residents. This story centers around Nathan and Emma. They have some amazing chemistry. I highly recommend all of these books and I can’t wait to read Trent and Leigh’s books. If you enjoy clean books that will make you laugh and fall in love with the characters, then this is definitely the series for you.
I really enjoyed this book. Nathan was a great guy and I really liked Emma as well. I really enjoyed Leigh's match making. She added a lot to the story. This was a really fun romance to read and I like both Nathan and Emma. The whole series is very good. I recommend this book to anyone who likes romances.
This series is going to suit all ages. It is well written with lots of humor added to the romance. The characters are well developed and the story line is fresh and easy to read. Have read the first two and going for the third. Only time to stop reading is to charge the Kindle.
