This historical novel brings tales of more battles, war, disaster and victories. If you like Medieval novels, you will enjoy this.

Hosker’s novels still need a good grammar editor. His misuse and lack of punctuation and verb tenses trip the reader, causing the reader to lose the thread while trying to figure out what the author is trying to say. No, I do not take points off for these types of errors In self-published books, unless they are exceptionally egregious.

Nevertheless, Hosker’s characters keep me coming back for more. Very well developed characters that catch you up in their story, and you will keep reading to find out their fate.

Once again Mr Hosker has started a new thrilling series with fiction mingled with historical fact and produced a highly enjoyable read. Another book that was hard to put down yet when finished leaves the reader hungry for more. What makes his books so darn enjoyable is the simplicity of the story. It isn't heavy reading but stimulating enjoyable reading. As I grow older It is what captures my attention leaving me hungry for more!!!!

Another well-executed novel of the Middle Ages. Once again the author puts you right there in the battles. I'm always grateful to be born in the 21st century versus the 14th century were you had famine plague pestilence and then major battles and if you are poor person you just lost out however if you had redeeming qualities that put you in the Forefront, this book gives you hope for a better tomorrow even though it is fiction.

This is the 2nd book in 5 (so far) that are about a fictional character inserted into the very real violent and bloody history of England. GH does an amazing job of bringing to life William Strongstaff and reading this book along with the others in the series, and then reading the actual history on Wikipedia was great fun.
