3.0 out of 5 starsA good story but historical inacuracies lowered the review

I really struggled with te governess in the first chapter is referrred to by the title of Ms. Ms. is a title of the early 70' s and introduced by the women's movement. Owen and Scarlet would never have openly spent the night in her home nor woud Owen have traveledout of his roolm shirtless. These time period inaccuracies were a bit like fingernails on the chalkboard.
5.0 out of 5 starsA wonderful story of a second chance at love!

This is my first book by this author. And, I really couldn't put the book down!
Owen and Scarlett's story was very heartwarming and touching. It was sad when I learned how they separated. I was so happy that they came over all the odds and found a way to forgive each other and find love again.
I just wish the story was a tad bit longer. I was absolutely enjoying it. Watching the two bicker with each other, and then loving on each other the next.
The ending made me chuckle the part where Felicity meets another Runner. They were so cute and I just found out the next book is about them so I will surely be buying that book next!♡
I really wanted to like this story. I liked the premise; however, so many editing errors and grammar issues I struggled. I wanted to like the naive and spoiled heroine who had reason as an adult to be bitter and angry but was so mean-mouthed I could not feel much for her but dismay. I appreciated the hero and how he made so much of his life. So - good plot, not so great heroine, sloppy editing and a HEA. I managed 3 Stars.
5.0 out of 5 starsA historical romance with humor , heartache, danger and love.

This book is about Lady Scarlett and Owen Steele. Scarlett is from nobility and Owen is the son of a poor baker. They fall in love and plan to marry. So the story begins. I loved this book and I highly recommend it. It does have mild sexual scenes.
A nasty husband, a cheap life of a debutante and a sudden death of a cheating husband. Into her life comes the only man she ever loved and has not seen for 7 years. He is the head of the bow street runners a.d thinks she killed her husband. They both realize that someone is trying to kill her. How they resolve their problems and find out who the killer is is scary for all. But all's well that ends well.
A Dangerous Seduction is book 1 in The Bow Street Brides series by Jillian Eaton. I really enjoyed this book. It has romance, murder and mystery and humor all rolled up into one package. I liked the heroine Lady Scarlett Sherwood. She is honest and incredibly sassy at times. Captain Owen Steel is a bit of a mystery at first. He’s been betrayed in the past and isn’t ready to give up the defenses of his heart when he meets Scarlett again. There are some sizzling steamy scenes. And an unusual twist towards the end of the book that I wasn’t expecting. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is a beautifully written, fast moving, historical romance novel about true love prevailing, through wrong choices and time. A great read for anyone wanting to try out a different genre of book than their usual go to. The first few chapters will get you hooked and turning (swiping) the pages even faster. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series with the twists and turns that will develop within the story! Bravo!
5.0 out of 5 starsLove being swept away by a new (to me) author!

I loved everything about this book. Loved the characters. Loved how Ms. Eaton portrayed the heroine's situation at the beginning of the book. Loved the angst and the remembered feelings between the H and h. Loved how, even though they were at odds, they were always on the same page. This is a perfect "escape" romance, which is exactly what I'm looking for when I sit down to read. Excited to start the next book in the series.
I really enjoyed this book. Admittedly I was not too enamoured with Scarlett, but that did not detract from the story which, although a murder, was reasonably light reading and quite well thought through. I liked Owen, and also Felix and Grant who will presumably feature in later books. The whole premise of being given a second chance was given an entertaining slant and I look forward to reading the rest of this series as well as others by this author.

A rarely good plot with every thing a good book should have. Action outside the bedroom and also a growing love that might? See some of that action in the bedroom, you will have to read it to find out. But I think you will enjoy it anyway.
