SOMEWHAT MISLEADING!

Just so you know, if you are looking for an accidental pregnancy, or even a pregnancy at all really, in this story, you will be disappointed about that. The pregnancy doesn't even come into play until almost the end of the epilogue, after they have been together 2 years, and I got the impression it was planned, or at least hoped for. BUT, that being said, the story itself was awesome! I was sucked into the story immediately, and only put it down when I had only 2 hours of the night left to sleep. It was surprisingly poignant at times. The characters were fascinating! I LOVED that Fitz thought Bev was beautiful from the get go, that he didn't see past her curves to the 'beauty inside', but was positively crazy FOR HER CURVES! I loved how sweet he was about her virginity, and that he saw it as a positive thing to be able to be her first. He was excited to teach her! I liked that she saw herself as attractive. She OWNED her body, she wasn't ashamed of it. These two characters were peas in a pod. It was fun to watch all those mushy emotions they thought were stupid and insignificant catch up to them and overwhelm them. They were both caught so off guard by the L Word! The thing about the book that is the reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that there were a lot of typos, word errors where the wrong word in the sentence was spelled correctly , so Spell check didn't flag it. There were some really great lines that were spoiled because a wrong word made things unclear. All it needs is a read through by an actual human to catch those little errors and fix them, and this book would be well worth 5 stars! It still gets my recommendation though!

Beverly has not been able to get a job since she graduated from college. But then her luck changed and she got a job working as Fitz's assistant. Unbeknownst to her everyone was praying and hoping she would be a perfect fit for their demanding boss and that she lasted more than a week.

When Fitz laid eyes on Beverly his first thought was that she was not the usual model thin assistant they normally send him. Not only was she different in statute but she was made of sterner stuff than the others, so he did not hesitate to put her through the paces. But the longer she was there the more his interest in her grew until the day he could not resist and kissed her. He did not expect the response he got from her but decided to play it by sir and see what becomes of their first encounter in the personal and forbidden lane.

But when things got to be too much for Fitz, he started distancing himself from Beverly until he totally shut her out. Beverly did not know how to deal with the hurt until she finally just exploded on Fitz about his treatment of her.

If you can get past the first 42% of the book-it will be worth it.
I didn't hold much hope for the hero in this book. He was rude, annoying and basically a jerk. He did redeem himself (for the most part) by the end.
Personally, the first part of the book was too drawn out and boring. We would've gotten the point with a quarter of wasted pages. Would've liked to see more of Bev & Fritz as a couple out in the open.

I enjoyed the way Katy Kaylee rolled out the characters of Bed and Fitz. The way they met, the strength of Bed and her determination to prove to Fitz that she could do the job and not cower. Learning of what Fits went through explained so much about him. It was a hot book with a great storyline.

Wow I really enjoyable read. When Beverly starts working for Fitz. Everyone in the office thought she wouldn't last long as Fitz is an arse. Luckily Bev has a smart mouth and keeps Fitz on his toes. Fitz is surprised in how well Bev works but also how she keeps him on his toes, and that he likes it. The chemistry between them is there from the beginning but older man, younger woman doesn't bother either of them. The pull between them grows, but do they make a move or can they hold out. Great storyline and damn this book is hot. was a great book to read and I was hooked as I need to know what was happening next. Wont disappoint. A must read , highly recommend

There is a huge amount of both grammatical and editorial errors. Too many to count if I'm honest. They are the usual ones you could find in any book but in this instance they are all included. Spelling, context, incorrect wording, mixed up tense and even a few words forgotten completely.
It's a shame really because the storyline is well thought out and the characterisation is okay, the book could have been so much more if attention to the written word had been provided. It smacks of laziness or even contempt for the reader. I don't think I will be purchasing more by this author

What a good story. Loved the older character of the older man. Quite an ogre and how Beverly tamed him with her quiet efficiency. Plenty of hot sexual activity awakening her to the delights of Fitz. A little misunderstanding added to a great ending and epilogue. Recommended.

The story ticked all the boxes in the office romance genre and the chemistry between the two was dynamic. Loved the book and will read again soon.
