5.0 out of 5 starsCan't say enough about how much I enjoy this series

Another home run in my opinion. I would recommend it to almost everyone who enjoys romance. One exception, I wouldn't recommend it to the women who are married to the protect and serve type of men. I think they may be put off the the opinions of the heroine. This is not a criticism of the writing or quality of the book. It was as outstanding as the others. The heroine tried numerous times to guilt the hero because of his dedication to his job (military) claiming he put duty before family. i believe that is the nature of all protect and serve careers. If you are sensitive to that I still recommend the other books in the series because they are all amazing and inspiring. I could loan it to one of my two sisters who are married to protect and serve guys and see how they weigh in. Again, it's not a reflection of the quality of the book. It's just an example of how a personal perspective can affect the reading experience.
5.0 out of 5 starsAnother terrific suspenseful romance from Colleen Coble

Colleen Coble's "Lonestar Homecoming" is a completely engaging sensory education as well as a terrific romance with a healthy dose of suspense! Gracie has run out on her wedding. With her little girl, Hope, in tow, she escapes to West Texas in search of a job. When she arrives, she discovers that the job she was counting on is no longer available. But before she has the chance to lose hope, she is presented with a new possibility caring for the children of a soldier who has recently returned to The States from Iraq.
With each of their pasts chasing them, Michael and Gracie quickly learn that they complete each other...in a practical way, anyhow. So an alliance is forged that seems to solve everyone's problems. But feelings surface that turn this business deal into something much more personal. This wonderfully romantic and suspenseful read introduced me to synesthesia, a condition where sounds or words or numbers have a color and sometimes a taste for the person who experiences it. Coble has created several characters that I will revisit from time to time, and has added depth and dimension to a setting that I have called a home away from home on several occasions. This book definitely has a place on my keeper shelf!
All three of the series have been wonderful reads. Colleen Coble is one of the most captivating writers ever to hold a pen. Every book is a clean, romantic yet suspenseful story no matter the setting. She deserves more than a five star rating.
5.0 out of 5 starsAction packed and heart warming all wrapped in to one!

Colleen Coble has done it again! This is the third book in the Lonestar series and once again, it was a book I couldn't put down. In this book, Gracie and her daughter Hope are running from trouble. Hopping a train to run from her fiance, she runs straight into the arms of a new man who could be anyone's dream guy. He's hard working, charming and a great father. An adorable family is made when she and Michael combine both of their families into one. The action in this book draws readers to the very edge of their seats and allows them to feel like they are there watching as the many heart quickening situations unfold. Danger lurks just around every turn. My hope is that the author decides to continue expanding upon this series so that we can pick up book number 4 and continue following the lives of those who live in Bluebird Crossing, Texas. P.S. Hey Amazon, I'd love to review more items for you as part of your invitation only Amazon Vine program. If this review caught your interest, there's plenty more where that came from! :)

I read the first two books in this series and loved them and could not wait for this book to be published. This book was wonderful! A great love story and also inspirational. I could not put the book down and I recommend this book to other readers. I have read many of Colleen Coble's books and have loved them all, but I must say this is my favorite series. Thanks Colleen for your wonderful books!
