5.0 out of 5 stars Must have more Warriors books now!

My 10 year old daughter literally screamed in anguish when she discovered we couldn’t order the next Warriors book off Amazon because it hadn’t been written yet. Please hire more writers for the Erin Hunter pseudonym and end her highly dramatic, pre-pubescent pain, I beg of you.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Sun Trail rocks!

All the characters described in the story attracted me greatly.Their emotions and movements described made me feel as if I am one of them in the story, knowing their emotions, thought of humans from a cat's point of view.Even though this is a fictional story,it sounds so real.I especially liked Gray Wing, who is a sleek, dark grayish tom with golden eyes;Wind, who is a rogue cat with yellow eyes,a wiry-brown she-cat; and Dew who is a mangy tom with splotchy fur, a rogue like wind. Those characters which I had mentioned above leads the group of cats like a leader and are also well-liked and respected by the cats.

I would reccommend this book to all those adventure seekers out there, even though they are not cat lovers like me. I grew to like those cats in the story for their bravery and loyalty.I even read the book while doing my homework in a bid to finish it as soon as possible.I could hardly contain my excitement when my mum helped me buy the second book,Thunder Rising and download to my kindle. This book is very attracting and urges the reader to continue reading until the end of the book.

However,I did not like Clear Sky,as he abandoned his family just to rule the forest, and he keeps on expanding his teritory and harms anyone who tries to come near it.I also did not like the cliff-hanging ending which dissapoints me when the story just comes to an abrupt halt.I can't wait to read Thunder Rising, which is the next book and actually reveal the truth to what is going to happen to Clear Sky,Gray Wing and Storm' son,Thunder.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Dawn of the Clans" has begun!

This new series Erin Hunter is starting is really good and as usual if you loved the first, second, third, and forth series of Warriors and you are a die hard fan of them and Erin Hunter? Then this is a book for you. Of course being the first book in the series (especially a brand new series) it's going to take some getting use to before we get into our "familiar Warriors" territory that we learned to love and adore, but once the second and third book come out then we might get into our "familiar Warriors." In the end, still a great book with more drama then all the Warriors combined so get ready to get a little mad at a certain number of cats. For the "Dawn of the Clans" has only just begun!

5.0 out of 5 stars The first in the Warriors series ~ great book!

My daughter is 9 and just finished 3rd grade. On a vacation, we let the kids pick out some books as a treat, and the Warriors series soon became an obsession. We have since purchased quite a few more of the Warriors books. Note that there are several Warriors series, each with 6 books, and this one is the first book (Sun Trail) in the first series (Dawn of the Clans). I already made that mistake when I was rushing to get another book in this first series and bought the wrong one. My daughter does recommend starting with this book before reading any others, and to read them in order so you know what is going on. The books don't have pictures in them, and a lot of the words are advanced for a 9 year old, so she does ask me for the meanings of words as she reads along.

Here are her thoughts!

Hello! Welcome to another one of my awesome reviews! Today I shall review Warriors>Dawn Of The Clans>The Sun Trail.

I chose this great book because I saw the cat on the cover of it and said to myself, "Hey, since I love cats so much, why don't I get this book? Seems like a nice one." That's how I ended up getting it.

Warriors: The Sun Trail is about some wild cats who travel from the mountains to a place that is so big and so peaceful in search for a better future. Unfortunately, I cannot promise you everything is fine. And when they reach their destination, if they reach their destination, get prepared for a twist. Dunn - dunn - dunn!

The end is definitely a cliffhanger! You will want to get the next book to find out what happens.

This book is technically meant for grades 4-7, but I am a 3rd grader and enjoy it just as much as anyone else would.

Lastly, be sure to check out [...] to download the free Warriors app, "meet" the warrior cats, play warriors games, read Warriors message boards, receive your warrior name, find out which Clan you belong to, and more!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great read

My son loves the Warriors books. For a 14 yr old who typically wants a video game over a book, this impresses me. He enjoys the pace and writing in these novels, and the subject matter interests him. He even named a pet after a character in this series.

The book arrived quickly and was new, as stated. A great value as well. I now get all of his Warriors books on Amazon.

I, personally like this book a lot. Some people have other opinions, especially this guy who rated it 2 stars and was swearing in the review. He said he hated it, and all that stuff. He also pointed out that the author had done this stuff before. I will say that is true, but only if you have read the field guide. Although, almost nothing in this goes into that. He thinks that this is a waste of money. I don't agree, but I still think 9.15 is a bit too much money to spend. There also is a lot of stuff that is normal. Guy likes someone that likes this complete jerk that happens two be the main character's brother. I'd like to put in that every time stuff like that happens, I wish I could be there to tell someone to do something different. The author really pulls me in. Also, WHAT THE HECK TO

Thank You so much for writing a series to get kids interested in reading!! She will stay up way past her bedtime reading. It's hard to argue with her when she says just one more chapter.....

5.0 out of 5 stars An action packed read for fans or new readers

I have been on huge fan of these books ever since I read Into the Wild. I hoped it would live up to expectations and it did. It took the basic story in the warriors field guide and really made all the cats come to life giving a very detailed account of what it was really like for the first settlers in clan territory. But, if you are new to the series, the story will still make sense and it doesn't matter if you read this series.and then the very first series that was published. Thumbs up to Erin Hunter and Co. for another fabulous book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love All The Books

I love all the books I've read so far. They are just so thrilling, tragic, happy and addictive. Love them. I have cried over many deaths of cats in all the Warrior Cats series, I'm sure some of you can relate too. I cried a lot particularly in this book, over Storm and the actions of Clear Sky, I won't say much more incase you're like me and read reviews before buying books. Don't want spoil it for you, unlike some people lol. Also, I don't know if this counts as advertising, but I recommend a Youtuber called Moonkitti, I think she is very funny, and says her thoughts of Warrior Cats in a very unique way. Enjoy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The sun trail-Best Warriors ever!!!

I got this book on the day it was published.I didn't know that it would be coming out on that day so it was a nice surprise when it started downloading on my kindle.I am a huge fan of the Warriors series and I was really looking forward to reading these books(even if I didn't know exactly when)so when it had downloaded I started reading it straight away.I think that the start is slightly boring but it is very important. Don't let this make you think that you might as well buy something else because after chapter 1 it gets very interesting. The whole idea is that the mountains where the cats live don't provide enough food so they try and find another place to live. If you have read other warriors books then you will know that they live in a forest.Obviously this is where the mountain cats go. One thing I enjoyed was trying to spot Wind,River,Thunder ,Shadow and Sky. I won't tell you much but some of the leaders, like Sky who is actually called Clear Sky,are ancients so their names are slightly different. There is a huge surprise in this book but I won't tell you because that would spoil it.I definitely would recommend this book-you'll be hooked after 5 minutes. In my opinion this is the best Warriors book ever! ( written by daughter, 9 years)

4.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable for youngsters but darker than the earlier series.

I bought this book and the first one ever written by Erin Hunter for my grandchildren. I did read them myself first and found both books well written and enjoyable for younger readers; especially if they like cats. Without including spoilers, I would suggest that this particular book, the first of a new series is suitable for perhaps ten years upwards as there are some themes that could very well upset younger children.
