Captain Charles Devereaux, who is very happy in his post in Britain, where he can be with his loving and very amorous wife, is sent to the North West Frontier of India for a prolonged posting.

Although it was his intention to remain faithful to his wife, he soon finds temptation is too much for him.

For the first half of the book, he describes his erotic adventures with Lizzie Wilson, his "Venus".

Then he is transferred to a more remote outpost and meets the three lovely daughters of a colonel.

More adventures ensue. This is is a rollicking good story as well as a very erotic one.

It is, according to one reviewer, "Without a doubt the finest Victorian erotic novel. It has a plot and a series of varied and exciting sex scenes, as well as realistic and funny dialogue".

Rollicking Good Story and lots of sex

Very good story and well read. Not for the prudish, of course. Good character development, good plot and steamy sex scenes.
Read by a gentleman with a very proper British accent. Whay more could you ask for? :)
