Excellent book that spoke straight to my heart

What did you love best about Tsunami Across My Heart?

I loved the sweet tender moments between Marissa and Eric, when they first met and in the first few years of their relationships. I found the initial interaction between Marissa and Eric when he was in her clothes, when they touched hands and feet reminds me of the love I found after my divorce from an abusive husband. Even thought the feelings of unrequited love surfaced later, and Marissa realized David was never going to return the true love she felt for him, I loved hearing about all the good times they spent together. Marissa and David's relationship was special with a friendship that endured for over 17 years which served both parties needs which changed over time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Marissa, she was so tender, caring and loving. I totally related to her since my former husband was just like her husband David. Marisa was in an abusive husband, yet still aspired to raise her children with love and compassion while trying to run her own business. Marissa needed a man, preferably her husband to desperately love her but had a unbearable marital relationship. Through it all Marisa never lost her desire for love friendship and companionship. During the entire story Marissa never stopped attempting to find the love she desperately needed.

What about Liora Farkovitz’s performance did you like?

Liora Farkovitz made this story interesting to listen to and was very entertaining. I think she gave an excellent performance with clarity and details well cited. This listener, couldn't stop listening until the very end. Liora delivered this story from her heart and soul, and I really enjoyed it

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I can totally relate to this story and it made me both laugh and cry. I cried for Marissa, and could easily relate to what it is was like to be in her marital situation. I laughed about Eric her male friend and sometimes lover, who showed he cared and loved Marisa in his own way, but not the way she desperately needed.

Any additional comments?

Please keep delivering books with the same quality presentation. I love listening to the stories while I am cooking, sewing, and doing chores. I could listen all day long, thanks.
