Publisher's summary

Determined to find the human traffickers preying on Shadowlands' submissives, Master Raoul gets himself invited to a small slave auction. Once informed, the FBI orders him to reject the limited choices so the slavers will invite him to the big auction. To Raoul's shock, one of the slaves is the kidnapped friend of a Shadowlands sub. She has a scarred body...and an unbroken spirit. He can't leave her behind. Ruining the FBI's carefully laid plans, he buys her.

Kimberly's freedom has come at a devastating price: the other women are still slaves. An FBI raid is their only hope for rescue. Desperate to help the Feds locate the big auction, she agrees to pose as Master Raoul's slave. Wearing a collar again is terrifying, but under the powerful dominant's care, Kim starts to heal and then to blossom. This is what she's been drawn to - and fled from - her entire life.

She escaped the slavers who captured her body - can she escape the master who's captured her heart?

Publisher's note: This book contains explicit sexual situations, graphic language, and material that some listeners may find objectionable: anal play, BDSM theme, elements (including/not limited to: bondage, fire play, flogging), and violence.

Story Good, Audio Quality Bad

My only real problem with this recording is the audio mix. The female narrator is so much quieter than the male narrator, and the low frequencies are so heavy in both voices, that the recording is work to listen to.

I'm sure that some audio producer thought this would make it more dramatic, but it's just hard to hear.

Please, please, please remix this, fix the levels so my ears don't switch from booming male voice to whispery, muffled female voice, and I'll happily give it five stars.

I liked the story but

This is a good book but the annoying thing is that the ladies voice is so much lower than the male performer. She is whispering in comparison and it is very annoying.

You can’t go wrong with a man and a Spanish accent

Master Raoul is so firm and sexy and how he handles Kimberly is astounding. While I know this is a fictional book, Kimberley’s ability to go back into the human trafficking ad a decoy seemed s bit much especially since we’re talking with months of rescue. Since she was having obvious difficulty handling the training situations sometimes, it made her kind of annoying. Raoul is the most patient man I’ve ever seen. He works with Kimberly to help her recover from her kidnapping and rape, but at times her healing seemed too quick and unrealistic.

The story was ok..but I enjoyed the relationship between Raoul and Kimberley no matter how far fetched it may have been.

This is a great story within the series. I had to work through the rape stories since they’re not my favorite, but the book overall was good.

Should have known better....Nonsensical BDSM

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Nothing, this story was nonsense. It is clearly intended for people other than I.

Would you be willing to try another one of Noah Michael Levine and Erin deWard ’s performances?

The performances were fine, the dialogue was silly. "I'm going to push you, and you are going to take it for me....That's my good girl...", "Take this pain for me...." "Do I trust your surrender enough to push your limits as I should..." (there was more but I couldn't hear it over the sound of my retching...)

What character would you cut from To Command and Collar?

I liked the dog. Everyone else can go....

Any additional comments?

Clearly intended for someone other than I, don't listen to this book unless you enjoy silly relationships with weak women (who are purported to be strong because they can surrender all responsibility for their lives to their 'masters'). You also need to be willing to believe in supermen who can read a women's every thought, sadistic bastards who believe causing pain shows their love and yet are riddled with angst that their victims might not 'need' them enough. Nauseating? Revolting? Ridiculous?

Female narrator is a great addition!

Cherise Sinclair's stories and characters are strong and well developed. Having a female narrator is a great addition to an always fabulous performance.

What a book.........

5 shining stars with collars on! Master Raoul is magnificent and Kim is so sweet and brave.

Raoul and Kim story is very good and now I have it in audio to. When Raoul buys Kim at a slave auction to save her he never expected to have her for his own, but in preparation to meeting with the handler of the auction she has to pretend to be his slave. Will she manages that without breaking and will Raoul be the one to save her again?

This is the third time I read this book but this time I used audio and the voices made this a experience to remember. Sinclaire has developed her stories from the first book and in adding audio the feeling of being present in the story is overwhelming, I cried and laughed and felt anxiety and excitement alongside the characters.

The storyline and characters are getting better and better. The first couple of books where great entertainment but now I can't put the book away when I first start reading. And I love that she's involved the characters from her previous books.

I feel like every time I read Cherise Sinclair's books I think "omg, this is the best book ever" and then I read another........

The writing style is so easy and light but at the same time it grasp you in your heart and soul and you can't think other than what you experience in the pages of the story.

If you haven't read a Cherise Sinclair book and like BDMS and erotic books you have certainly missed out. I recommend you start with the first in this series and a fair warning; you want be able to stop!

Narrators is good but the female voice is whispering at times so it’s hard to hear but I still enjoyed it.

Even his chuckle has a Spanish accent

Masters of the Shadowlands is one of my favorite series, and this is my favorite book. I adore Kim and Master R. I’ve read the eBook countless times - believe me, if an electronic book could have dog ears and a crinkle, worn spine my copy of To Command and Collar would bear those markings. About a year ago I bought the paperback and now I added the audiobook. Fan girl? Definitely! Slightly crazy? Perhaps.

Noah Michael Levine and Erin DeWard form a very talented narrator couple and I loved their performance. To call them narrators really doesn’t do them justice. They are voice actors and they’re excellent at what they do. Mr. Levine’s impersonation of Master R is so amazing, even his chuckle seems to have a Spanish lilt to it.

I love the Shadowlands!

Great book! very well written. It is hard to listen to sometimes because how cruel people can be to other people. I cried twice within the first 4 chapters. But I love the happy ending. it's a great part of the series. I couldn't put it down.
