Publisher's summary

Jacque's mind wandered as she hovered somewhere between life and death. Her body longed to let go, to sink into the peaceful abyss, to the place where she didn't have to worry about rabid, child-snatching vampires and the carnage they'd caused to so many innocent families. But something kept her here, tethered to this world. Something she couldn't quite remember hovered just on the edge of her consciousness, something vital. It wasn't Fane; he would be with her on the other side, she knew that. If she died, he died, too, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

She could feel Peri's presence in her body. The fae was fighting, expending every ounce of her energy to keep her and Fane alive and the strain was taking its toll on the fae. But why? Why was the fae fighting as if her own life depended upon Jacque's survival? Jacque was starting to remember someone else - someone that depended on her. A brand new life, precious and perfect...her son.

Costin's best friend lay as if sleeping, clinging to life by a mere thread, held at the other end by the powerful fae. But the thread holding Costin to his own sanity was just as feeble. Sally, his world, his light, his Brown-Eyes, the only thing that keeps the darkness at bay, was gone.

Love these books

That being said. Changing the pronunciation of names this far into a series is a bit frustrating. Still loved it though

Well....

Somethings push a line and this one did it for me. A big line. I have to think about what will come next because, I know this is a story and all that but Jesus, it’s like torture is the new Prada or something. Along with 58997754 things happening at the same dang time. It was a good story, yes but to say it didn’t make me want to turn it off and never pick it up again.... would be a freaking lie.

Sally, our sweet little Gypsy healer has been beyond tortured though she doesn’t see it at first. She doesn’t see it until it’s too late. Her memories have been taken, she’s been dropped into a new place and has no idea who and what she really is.

It was hard to watch, seriously. But I get why it happened, or I think I do.

Costing on the other hand... my God to see him so broken was hard. I just wanted to pick him up and give him a huge hug. In the end he got his revenge and his girl back so I’m thankful for that.

Now we have to wait and see what happens with the pie-holes known as the Order of the Burning Claw are up to. (Mutters)

Love it

loved the story, funny and definitely know how to bring out the personalities of the characters... only thing I would change is the narrator for the last two books. Pronounced names incorrectly which really made listening hard because all I kept wanting to do is correct her! Other than that loved the entire series

Again the Narrator

I love the story, however this narrator makes some of the characters seem strange and not like they portray in the books or early audio books.

Amazing narration and book

The grey wolves series is amazing but the turning point that starts with The Order of the Burning Claw is amazing. So much gets added to the story and this is just the beginning. The narrator is great and you can clearly tell each character apart from each other. She adds spunk, attitude, anger, sadness, everything that chances a persons tone so beautifully making this excellent to listen to.

OMG

I am in love with this book series and love it even more now especially since my home state of South Carolina made it into the book. just sucks on the circumstances of how Sally ended up there but nonetheless thank you for recognizing our great state of South Carolina.
