Captured by the merciless Orc Warlord Grothar, Lyra, a proud human warrior, vowed never to submit to being a prize of war. She was meant to be a trophy, a body to use for his foul pleasure, a spirit to break. She would never yield to his dominance, never surrender to the heat in his gaze or the hunger in his touch. And yet, with each passing night, as whispered threats melt into unwanted caresses, as pleasure is wrung from her trembling body, she finds herself trapped in a cruel contradiction: a sweet violation that sets her nerves aflame and her will crumbling.

Grothar is no mindless brute—he is a warlord, a conqueror, a king who bends the world to his will. He has taken countless women before, but none has defied him like her. Lyra is a thorn in his side, a challenge he refuses to lose. Her resistance only excites him. Her fire fuels his own, and what should have been a simple act of possession turns into something far more dangerous: obsession. He wants more than just her body. He wants her broken and begging for him, her moans of defiance twisted into cries of surrender. But as the battle between them rages, Grothar begins to question who is truly the conqueror—and who is conquered.

In a brutal world where pleasure and pain blur, Lyra is left with an impossible choice: fight to reclaim the freedom stolen from her or surrender—to the monster who has taken everything yet offers her something she finds increasingly difficult to resist—himself.

I did not like the book due to the triggering content. nor the computer voice over.

I’m not sure why rape is in so many stories that is supposed to be romance at least that’s what I was looking up. Don’t like it. I’m not gonna finish it. I’m going to delete this. Thanks.

I’m not in the stories about rape and within the first few minutes it happens. I don’t like this at all.
