How did the narrator detract from the book?

She read way too fast and didn't seem to have the emotion, almost like she was just getting a paycheck to quickly read the stories. Taking a breath in between sentences would have helped greatly.

i couldn't get myself past the first chapter because of the audio. So that's why I gave the story a 2 star. The audio was not pleasant to listen- as this was suppose to be something to enjoy.
