Sweet Girl by Quell T Fox is a standalone forbidden romance novel. Getting to listen to it adds a whole new level to this book. This book does have a happily ever after, but is not for everyone. But if it is, hold on for a fun ride.

The narrator did an amazing job. This is a dual POV but most of it in Charlotte's POV. the narrator really brought the the story to life. Excellent performance.

Loved the story. it was my first step dad story and I really enjoyed it. I did read along with the audio and there are some differences in the book and the audio but nothing too dramatic. There is additional information that just adds to the story.

definitely recommend this one.

This was a quick, oh so fun, forbidden romance. I finished it all in one sitting.

Some parts were probably not so realistic, but it didn't matter. There was plenty of spice to keep me well entertained 😜

It's a very taboo story with a 19 year old lusting after her mom's boyfriend, so if that isn't something you enjoy reading, I recommend passing on it.
The actual story starts a little slow for my liking. Charlotte spends most of her time being angsty and almost moping about liking Jonathan, but it makes sense because she is 19 and I can see how liking an almost step-dad might cause some person problems. I enjoyed how sex-positive Charlotte was! She was comfortable with her sexuality and had no qualms about it (apart from the whole liking her almost step-dad). I didn't understand the mom's part in the story. She just seemed like she was there to bring Charlotte home then proceeded to ignore her. That made Charlotte's inner monolog about her mom finding out seem unnecessary because her mom is never home!
Anyway, it's an entertaining story and I liked Charlotte as a character.

The narrator does a fine job. I think her voices do sound a little the same at times. The two voices with distinction are Charlotte's and Jonathan's, which is more important comparatively. Though, I do like when all (or at least a majority) are somewhat unique.

This is pretty steamy. I do like how body confident the fmc is. Completely comfortable in her own skin is a awesome thing to read about.
3 star listen, the quality of the audio could be a little better.
Storyline is ok, more of a secondary aspect of the book to the angst and relationships.

I'm a little torn because it was not really what the blurb brings you to believe but it's not bad. It's slow moving which I don't mind but I was frustrated with the lack of interaction with the MCs and felt dissatisfied with the resolution with the mother. It is a short story but I just felt like it wasn't as fully developed as it could have been though it is well written and the narration is done well though there are some minor quality issues to the audio.
