Publisher's summary

From multi award-winning author Rebekah Weatherspoon comes book two in this sexy, suspenseful series....

When she needs a sanctuary...

Targeted by a sadistic former client, Attorney Liz Lewis needs a place to lay low. When a friend offers her his family farm as a safe house, she eagerly accepts, unaware that she’ll have to share the farm with her friend’s brawny, beautiful brother, Silas McInroy.

...she invades his....

Weary of a world that doesn’t understand him, Silas just wants to be left alone to grow the best produce Upstate New York has to offer. Still, he’s not going to toss a woman out when her safety is on the line. But the only way to explain her presence on his farm is to claim that they fell in love online...and the last thing he needs is a fake relationship that threatens to become more and more real every day.

With her world turned upside down and danger on her trail, Liz knows that this temporary refuge can’t last forever...but leaving the comfort and ease of Silas’ arms and farm to face the reality of her life may be the hardest thing she’s ever had to do.

Warning: This audiobook contains scenes of mild bondage and domination between a gorgeous lawyer and a sexy farmer who is terrible with women. And five farm dogs with varying degrees of loyalty to both the hero and heroine.

Liz & Silas ❤️

This is another solid and enjoyable book from Rebekah Weatherspoon. While there were a lot of similarities between the set-up and flow of SANCTUARY and HAVEN, they’re still unique stories and characters. I happily ignored my “real world” and listened to this in two days. I love Liz and Silas as characters. While I adore Liz’s strength and decision to take control of her life - and Silas 😉 - it was his stoic and straightforward demeanor that stole the show for me. While written from alternating perspectives, Liz’s POV dominated the book and I would have liked a little more from Silas’ view. Though it’s probably his bit of mystery that adds to the appeal.

Lots of fun banter, steamy kinky sex, and even a romantic picnic in an orchard. So much to love. Plus, the epilogue was fantastic.

Narration:
Lacy Laurel and Mace Earl Finn both do great jobs with their individual narrations. Separately, I love both of their performances.

The problem is a continuity issue. Finn gives Silas (and Scott) a fairly strong Scottish accent and reads all his chapters from this voice. Laurel does not give them any accent at all. It disrupts the cohesiveness of the production.

So much better than book 1

I loathed the first book in the series but this one was solid. Could have used a bit more detail. I’m curious to see how book three goes.
