I loved this story and it was exactly what I was in the mood for when searching for my next novel: dark romance with possessive alpha lead. I Loved the how the author created two parallel storylines between past and present…made it very unique and engaging to see how things ended up the way they did in the present timeline.

The only issue I had was from the narrator. I actually really enjoyed her voice and reading of the different characters and her voice is very eloquent and crisp; however, one very odd thing that doesn’t match up with her accent is that she pronounces words like “ask” and “accept” as “axe” and “axecept” and it becomes extremely distracting. So much so that every time it happened, I would mentally get pulled out of the story and wince. Essentially ruining a lot of key moments for me. Not to mention you’d be surprised at how often those words are used in the book…frustrating!
