Publisher's summary

It’s just pretend...but nobody wants to stop.

Maxie’s quiet, predictable routine is shattered when she steps outside her flower shop and almost runs into two women. It’s not the near collision that’s startling. It’s the strangers’ faces. It’s like looking in a mirror times two, and it sends her into a dead faint.

Sheriff Zac Ford sees three identical copies of the woman who’s caused him more sleepless nights than he can count, and it stops him in his tracks. Maxie’s buckling knees snap him out of his trance, and he catches her before she hits the cement.

Two sisters she never knew she had? Maxie can’t deal with this turmoil, not on her own. She needs a shield, a rock. For the first time in her life, she takes a wild leap of faith.

When Maxie calls him her boyfriend, Zac has no trouble playing along. It’ll give him time to figure out what these “sisters” want. Soon, though, for-show kisses get hotter and playacting touches grow bold. And Maxie must choose to stay in her safe little world, or grab life by the horns.

Great Series!

This is the second installment in the Triple X Trilogy. I love this Series of interconnected stories, with an ongoing plot. The Series continues where the first book left off. Maxie and Zac's story is fun, sweet, sexy, and romantic. Josie Kurz did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to Roxie, the last book in this trilogy.

A really fun book. I highly recommend this book

I did receive this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this story. The idea of triplets is fun. Lexi, Robin, and Maxie are fun characters. I really like how they all move their foot in the same way whenever they are nervous. The addition of Zach and Cam kind of even things out. I am off to read Roxi's story to see what that spunky lady gets herself in to.

Sweet Story

The story was good, and I liked that each sister had a distinctive personality. I'd like to see the rest of the books in the series. The narrator kind of swept me up into the story with the way she spoke and got into character.

A touching story about finding a new family

This audiobook is part of the author’s series titled, Triple X. A series about three sisters, triplets, that were separated as babies. None of them recalling their separation. While two were adopted, one ended up on the foster system.
Roxie and Lexie have found each other and decide they need to meet , Maxie the third of the triplets.
Maxie is shy, unaware of ever being adopted. She owns a flower shop and her daily thrill is watching the new sheriff, Zac Ford park in front of her shop, on his way to get coffee. Neither divulging the attraction they had for the other.
When Roxie and Lexie show up to meet Maxie, it’s Zac that is there for her. But Maxie has issues that Zac might not be able to overcome.
The story was touching and sweet as well as heartbreaking. Especially, knowing that these girls were separated so young, never realizing they had sisters.
I am looking forward to the next story in the series.
