Jake, Lexie’s brother, her vanilla brother who comes to Stronghold to be with his friends and maybe to watch some.

Sharon, Kates best friend who moved back with her from California, who just wants an alpha male who will not treat her like she’s glass. Who comes to Stronghold, but isn’t masochistic enough for any of the Doms (or baby enough for the Daddy Doms). She also spends time with her friends there’s.

They grate on each other... but are drawn to one another.

I’m not going to tell you what happens, but I am going to tell you it’s good!! This story is excellent. Hi listen!!!

Victoria Mei does well with the narration.

This is my first Golden Angel's book. This is the book 8, and the last book in the Stronghold Doms Series. Unfortunately, I haven't read the first book in the Series, and despite the fact this story can be listened as a standalone, reading the first books in the series should help to better understand the relationships between the other characters. I like this friends/enemis to lovers. Sharon and Jake (Captain Caveman!) share a hot and strong chemistry. The secondary characters are also very interesting, and I would love to know more about them. Victoria Mei did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed listening to this book.

Hardcore Vanilla is the 8th and final installment in Golden Angel’s Stronghold Doms series but it’s my first in the series .
Love how Golden Angel took a couple added some spice and blended the couple together when the hero was denying a label but he sure acted like a DOM .
Hero is Jake. Heroine is Sharon
Sharon gets mixed messages from Jake . Sharon knows she’s into the DOM lifestyle, what she doesn’t understand is why Jake has to always throw Jabs at her , small little jabs like he's judging her .
Meanwhile Jake is denying he’s a DOM but put him and Sharon together and he acts like a big time Alpha make .
The scenes are spicy all around . The chemistry between the two are hot and off the charts

Victoria Mel was excellent. She has a deep $exy voice . It’s smooth and strong

What a great story. Sharon and Jake hooked up at a New Years Eve party. Jake was her best friends brother and he had treated her in the past like an obnoxious brat. He wasn’t a Dom, but he sure lit her up anyway. Victoria Mei needs a blue ribbon for narrating it. She would have won first prize. What a super job she did with the male and female voices!

this story is between Jake & Sharon
the 8th book in the series and one of the most favorite Charters Jake it was entertaining books he was sizzling and tantalizing and creative and so sexy I so thoroughly enjoy this book I enjoyed the charters the overall performance I loved every single word it was fascinating definitely a 5☆ read definitely a keeper

Love that it has alpha male but not dom and brat not sub or slave. Also love how they all in a supportive friendship group. A “real fantasy” for me.

I just love Golden Angel’s Stronghold world. I was great to finally see Sharon and Jake get their HEA and to see what was happening in their Stronghold friends’ lives.

Not sure how I have missed Golden Angel all this time, but I am certainly glad I gave this one a listen. It is book 8 in the series, and though I haven't listened to the others, it was perfect as a standalone. Sharon and Jake are the last of their friends who have not found their significant others. They have a bickering relationship, not really liking each other. Will "friends with benefits" work out for them? There is strong attraction and the chemistry off the charts! But this enemies to lovers story isn't your everyday trope follower. It has some meat to it. Sharon's background would give the impression that since she is from a wealthy family, she would have the happy life. She is loud and at times obnoxious. Jake comes from the family everyone wants to hang out with, and is a little more conservative. These opposites find out that not only do they attract, but there is a common thread that could hold them together. I loved the title, the ensemble of friends and the whole storyline of this book. It's hot, sexy and entertaining from start to finish. Can't wait for the others to be released!

Narrating a story like this needs someone that can bring emotional value to the story as well as perform a steamy scene. Victoria Mei is perfect for roles like this. She can bring out all the feelings, from frustration and turmoil to hope and love with the inflections in her voice. I loved her performance of Sharon and Jake!
