This was a nice short listen with low angst and drama. Erin is a woman who is under the thumb of her controlling father who steamrolls her without consideration of her wants or feelings. Grady is a wandering musician who she meets after her girlfriends take her to the local bar. Erin is to be married to a man of her fathers choosing and the night before the wedding she “runs off”. Grady and Erin have a night of passion and she goes with him the next morning. They have a few days of bliss before it comes crumbling down on her.
The story flows very seamlessly. I like how the characters respect each other and handle their “issues” in a mature manor. I love books where the characters behave in this manor and are not immature or don’t communicate. The narration is ok; however I would have preferred dual narration or a narrator that can effectively do both male and female voices
