Publisher's summary

Red coated his lips, vibrant against that ivory skin. He was the devil incarnate, dressed impeccably in Armani, and I had never seen a sight more terrifying.

When diagnosed with a fatal illness at the age of 26, Eleanor Gray is resigned to her fate - at least until the enigmatic Dublin Helos appears and makes her an offer she knows she should refuse.

Life or death?

With a decision as harmless as checking the wrong box on a mysterious questionnaire, Ellie is plunged into a dangerous world where souls are sold to the highest bidder and pleasure is fueled by pain.

The rules of this new life are simple: submit everything - mind, body and soul. But the further Ellie falls under Dublin’s control, the more she comes to realize that it’s not just her sanity at stake, but her heart and a whole lot of blood too.

Compelling & Twisty

I really enjoyed this book. In some ways it was just what I expected but in others it was a surprise. The story was intriguing and I found the characters complex. The heroine, Ellie was one of the surprises that I didn't see coming. I thought she was original but easy to relate to and to connect with. Dublin was intense, enticing and compelling. The storyline quickly has you hooked with its powerful combination of drama, emotions, surprising twists and steam that are all enrobed in a tempting coating of luscious darkness. I am so looking forward to book 2!! Single narration and I thought that that worked for this book. The narrator's voice was pleasant and they did a good job in helping to bring the book to life.

Intense read

This story is intense! The characters are way to get attached too. I love how the feelings keep them jumping between hate, fear and love, even if they don’t realize it. I love it but hated to see it and this way.

Complex and Dark!

This is the first book in The Ellie Gray Chronicles, a Dark Vampire Romance. This is a complex introduction to this Duet. Eleanor (Ellie) and Dublin's story is original and intriguing. Ellie is naive, reserved, and diffident. She is dying, and she made a deal with the devil. Dublin, a vampire, is Dark, powerful, confident, complex, intriguing, and intense. They are totally opposites attract, and they share an unexpected attraction, and a sizzling hot chemistry. The characters are great, and well developed. The gothic world building is dark, original, and complex. The storyline is captivating, and twisted. The story didn't grab me right away, and it took me a little while to get hooked, but I am so glad I stuck with it. Now, I would love to listen to the next book in the Duet, Chain Me, to know what happens next. Bree Elaine did a superb job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice, easy to understand.

Vampire Fiction at its best

Drain Me is a unique, thrilling adventure in the life of Ellie Gray. Dark and twisted like all of Lana Sky's books, Drain Me kept me on my toes.

The narrator did a great job. The pace and styling were entertaining.

OMG YES!!!!

Narrator: the narrator was easy to listen to. She did an amazing job going from one person to another and this helped make the book so good.

Book: Now the book itself...the story was so good...keeps you wanting more and curious as to what is gonna happen next. This book is not for those under 18 of course due to the content. I loved each and every turn of the page. When I received this book I hadn't even read the description of the book so I didnt know what I was getting into. Glad I didn't because it made the book even better. I will definitely listen to this again and again!!!

Not what I was expecting

I should have known what this book is about by the title. Vampires are not my normal read. Even though I was caught off guard, I enjoyed the book. Well, didn't really like Dublin, but Eleanor had me from the start. I cried tears for the way she felt about herself, and the way others looked pass her. Loved how she grew and became stronger. This was a darker read, and look forward to the second book.

Bree Elaine did an excellent job as narrator. Her performance of male and female characters was well done.

Love it 😊

Where the next book audible?? Really 😭
This story started a little slowly but I think it helped build the setting and the characters. You can really see a shift in the main character from beginning to end.

Drain Me (The Ellie Gray Chronicles Book 1) Review

Lana Sky is one of my all time favourite authors, i have enjoyed all of her other books immensely but Drain Me is my all time favourite novel by her.
Its the first novel i ever read by Lana and i absolutely love every bit of it, the world building is done masterfully and the main characters are very unusual and you would think wouldnt match together but in all scenes they are together the result were amazing.
My favourite charchter was Ellie, i just i loved her so much, she was so contradicting and un excepted that i never knew what she might do or say next.
This books is filled with twists and nothing happened the way I expected it to and the ending left me wanting more.
the narration done by Bree Elaine was done really well, and brought the charchter to life so it was really enjoyable.
