What would have made Double Teamed on My Honeymoon better?

The sexual portions of the book were mere descriptions of what was happening. There was no mention of the emotional or physical reactions. The narrator's style was also clinical, lacking inflection. The sexual aspects of the book were said in the same tone as everything else. NOTE: I couldn't finish listening to the story.
