An orphan's life is harsh---and often short---in the island city of Camorr, built on the ruins of a mysterious alien race. But born with a quick wit and a gift for thieving, Locke Lamora has dodged both death and slavery, only to fall into the hands of an eyeless priest known as Chains---a man who is neither blind nor a priest. A con artist of extraordinary talent, Chains passes his skills on to his carefully selected "family" of orphans---a group known as the Gentlemen Bastards.
Loved the story! The author creates a winding path that keeps the reader involved as more of the story (past and present) is revealed. However, the real reason I write this is to give praise to the narrator; I've a good number of audiobooks under my belt but this one may be my favorite performance! Kudos to Mr. Page; this was nothing short of impressive.
Michael completed the Path. What he found at the end turned everything he'd ever known about his life - and the world - completely upside down. He barely survived. But it was the only way VirtNet Security knew to find the cyber-terrorist Kaine - and to make the Sleep safe for gamers once again. And the truth Michael discovered about Kaine is more complex than they anticipated, and more terrifying than even the worst of their fears.
Dashner does a fantastic job of following up from the first book. The story seems a little slow in the middle of this book, but he wraps up the tale with a fantastic bang! My wife and I are enjoying the series together & are highly anticipating the conclusion. Once again Dashner is a master of keeping the reader in suspense and not allowing the ending to be guessed!
As the story opens, Snowman is sleeping in a tree, mourning the loss of his beloved Oryx and his best friend Crake, and slowly starving to death. How did everything fall apart so quickly? Why is he left with nothing but his haunting memories? Alone except for the green-eyed Children of Crake, he explores the answers to these questions in the double journey he takes - into his own past, and back to Crake's high-tech bubble-dome, where the Paradice Project unfolded and the world came to grief.
I had never heard of this author before she suggested the book to me. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey! The narrator does a great job of intoning the protagonist's inner struggle/monologue along the way. Will be continuing with the next book in the series!
The culminating volume in The Saga of Seven Suns weaves together the myriad story lines in a spectacular grand finale. Galactic empires clash, elemental beings devastate whole planetary systems, and the factions of humanity are pitted against one another. Heroes rise and enemies make their last stands in the climax of an epic tale eight years in the making. The Saga of Seven Suns is one of the most colorful and spectacular science-fiction epics of the past decade.
Thoroughly enjoyed the wrap up to the series! Great narration. Had those sad feelings when I started to get close to the end...I've become close with all the characters Anderson developed along the way; highly recommend all 7 books!
This is the compelling story of U.S. Air Force Major Joe Mack, a man born out of time. When his experimental aircraft is forced down in Russia and he escapes a Soviet prison camp, he must call upon the ancient skills of his Indian forebears to survive the vast Siberian wilderness. Only one route lies open to Mack: the path of his ancestors, overland to the Bering Strait and across the sea to America. But in pursuit is a legendary tracker....
Each and every chapter kept me in the edge. It was a wonderful production. Thanks.

Kevin J. Anderson is one of the most popular and acclaimed science fiction writers in the world. He is a New York Times best-selling author with more than 11 million copies of his books in print. Now the epic saga he began with Hidden Empire continues in this breathtaking novel.
This was my first audible experience, and a fantastic one at that! I'm writing this review and immediately starting the next book
