The author creates such a detailed mesmerizing world of good and fallen angels and their children caught in an ageless war. I was instantly drawn to the main characters and the secondary ones as well. Between audible and whisper-sync I found it hard to put this story down. Exciting fantastic heart wrenching / joyful series of which I am immediately starting the next book/audio.
The narrator was great with the male voices and as with many male narrators getting he females right is a bit difficult, but overall o started to get addicted to his voice and the emotions he put into the character.

After watching Lindsey ‘s story weaved into the first two books it was awesome to get her full story.
Lindsey is one of my favorite female heroines ever, she is just all happiness and whimsy with an undercurrent of strength and optimism.
The author did a great job of character development of the two senators that capture her heart and the building of the relationship between the three. On this planet they form triads of two male spouses and a female.
Political Intrigue, an old fashioned world with prejudice and social hierarchies endanger Lindsey. The two senators must not only save her but straighten out the mess of lies and betrayal that they fall victim to.
There is a lot of humor, as well as danger , suspense and ice melting sex.
Highly suggest reading the books or listening on audible in order. They are not that long but filled with as much as a full novel.

Another great story for the sci-fi romance series. The authors world building continues to enhance the stories as well as the in depth character’s personalities and histories .
Kyele’s as well as Joanie’s both had heart wrenching moments that made it hard for either one to let their defenses down. Despite this the attraction and pull between them is too strong. Kyele has already taken on the role of Joanie’s protector. Both Kylie and Joanie are strong characters . Joanie has become strong and is determined to learn how to defend herself, never to be vulnerable again. She also
has a sassy kick ass sense of humor as well.
A lot of excitement and danger follow the earth females and Joanie is no exception. There is a great mix of some hold your breath action scenes, romance, sexual situations and hilarious conversations (especially between the earth girls )
Loved seeing all the earth women bonding and creating a life for themselves on Enotia. The second epilogue is a real treat into the near future. Going to get to the next two books in the series, wish they were already on audible as well.

Imaginative New World

What did you like best about this story?

The world building, the Abcurse brothers, Willa and her inner mind ramblings

Which character – as performed by Vanessa Moyen – was your favorite?

Willa

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No
I beta and ARC review for many authors, started this series not knowing it was YA. It’s a great story but IMO would have been better as adult or if there was an adult version could have brought much more to the story. Couldn’t get past Willa’s age, but it was a good story. I wish these books would be labeled YA in their descriptions and authors blurbs

Any additional comments?

Narration was okay, the men’s voices were strange and gruff. I believe dual narration To do both genders are often better,
For some reason the 1x speed was very very fast, it’s what I normally listen to. The .75 speed was way too slow. Something seemed off.
Loved I could switch between book and audio reliably.

I decided to listen to the audio of this book I had reviewed several years ago. I really enjoyed the book when I first read it and gave it a favorable review. I found this narrator to be terrible at doing the angels and women’s voices. Thane’s voice in particular was so disappointing I almost stopped after the first few chapters. Overall though it’s a great story and worth the listen. Hopefully the author will continue the series as it’s been several Years and it’s still incomplete.

Another amazing Brides of the Kindred book, this series just keeps getting better and better.
Nadiah, Sylvan’s cousin, has the ability to see into the future. Forced into a blood bond when she was a child by her parents to a man she does not love she fears for her future with this mean, social climbing Male on her home planet.
Adam Rast, the male she accidentally does the lucky kiss with as part her cousin’s mating ceremony finds himself unable to stop his need to protect and be close to Nadiah. For some reason this male from earth has behavior which seems much more Kindred than Human.
Rast has volunteered to challenge Nadiah’s fiancé and be the warrior protector she has always fantasizes about, together they travel to her home planet as well as other worlds. It is amazing how many wonderful crazy worlds exist in Ms. Anderson’s imagination as well as original and exciting new storylines.
To top off this awesome addition to the series , it is narrated by
William Martin, who’s voice ups the sexy hot level of this book by 10.

This was my second audio listen and it was just as awesome as the first time
This trilogy would make an awesome cable tv series.
The narrator has an amazing sexy Kentucky gentleman’s voice but his female voice (as with many male narrators) was not very good. If they had two narrators, make and female, it would have made this so much better but then again, after awhile I was so engrossed in the story I didn’t care.

I’ve enjoyed all the books in the series and This o r just felt a bit flat to me. It was very lopsided in the supposed “rules” of the game this round started out with the evil side already had years ahead win the soul in question. Also didn’t see the need for the date of certain if the angels but I assume it will be revealed next book.
Enjoy seeing Cissy become more independent and a bit badass as well. Hoping the next book wraps many of the loose ends up well with some positive endings.
Still a good audio and am looking forward to the next book.

After listening to all JR Ward’s BDB books I decided to listen to her Fallen Angel series. It took me a little while to get into the first book ,Covet, but was then hooked.
I really enjoy the narrator he not only does both male and female voices well but seems to “get” the authors unique style of writing.
The stories are all based in a game being played out by the creator playing good and evil in the final war for dominance. Jim Heron has been picked to help guide the challenges as he was supposedly equal parts good and evil.
The good guys are a band of unusual entertaining angels both in heaven and a few in the ground , all of whom still enjoy some good food, adventures and even sex.
The saying “Devil in a Blue Dress” has never been truer as the evil “Davina” loves dressing like a real life Jessica Rabbit and her blue dress is one of her favorite outfits.
The stores are all Great and make it hard to have to take breaks in between listening.
My one complaint is that several of the characters including the main one are heavy smokers. Besides not being a fan of cigarettes the characters are sometimes described as sexy and alluring during their act of smoking. Besides being immediately turned off by men who smoke I think glorifying this unhealthy act is just wrong. As a health professional I’ve had to fight to keep those literally suffocating to death because of diseases they’ve developed from smoking. Not to mention how smokers smell, their yellow teeth and second hand smoke.
Other than the smoking issues and many characters who smoke in both series I would say these are great reads and I’ve enjoyed listening to them immensely.
