Over a decade ago, when Writing Down the Bones first appeared, Natalie Goldberg started a revolution in the way we practice writing. Now, for the first time, Goldberg reads her classic work, while offering new commentary about the creative, spiritual, and practical dimensions of writing. This collector's edition also includes an exclusive interview with the author.
writing is not my primary practice, and I quickly found myself substitituting the word "art" when she said writing. The concepts are universal. Natalie's voice is soft and a bit monotone, but I quickly got absorbed in the words and meanings
With the world facing divisive events and movements like the rise of nationalism, Trump, Brexit, Erdogan, and more, there's never been a more important time to travel. Rick believes the risks of travel are widely exaggerated, and that fear is for people who don't get out much. After years of living out of a suitcase, he still marvels at how different cultures may find different truths to be self-evident. By sharing his experiences from Europe, Central America, Asia, and the Middle East, Rick shows how we can learn more about own country by viewing it from afar.
In our divisive times, I found it very enlightening to visit other countries along with Rick, via this book. Many other countries have grappled with the same issues we deal with in the USA, and have solved them with different approaches, and some have not. Rick invites us to open our minds and explore other cultures with curiosity and compassion. Very fun and entertaining too!
How did a land and people of such immense diversity come together under a banner of freedom and equality to form one of the most remarkable nations in the world? Everyone from young adults to grandparents will be fascinated by the answers uncovered in James West Davidson's vividly told A Little History of the United States.
I loved this book! Well written, and narrated, it weaves a fascinating story of American history. In this time, where our leaders and followers seem to have little grasp of how our Republic came to be, this is especially important while being entertaining.

Your genes are not your fate. New research by Dr. Ornish and his colleagues shows that changing what you eat and how you live may actually alter, for the better, how your genes are expressed.
Easy to listen to, and provides hope for a healthy future. Love the meditations. I am inspired to implement this program in my own life.
