Growing up, Bianca St. Ives knew she was different from all her friends. Instead of playing hopscotch or combing her dolls' hair, she studied martial arts with sensei masters and dismantled explosives with special-ops retirees. Her father prepped her well to carry on the family business. Now a striking beauty with fierce skills, the prodigy has surpassed the master.
So good, bummed web it was over! Can't wait for next in series!!!!! Characters of Bianca and Rogan are so enticing!
The moment Charlotte Vintage walks into his club, Tariq Asenguard's blood is set on fire. The ancient Carpathian had given up hope of finding his lifemate, but now he will do anything to make Charlotte his own. What Tariq doesn't know is that Charlotte is using herself and her best friend as bait - to try to draw out the bloodthirsty killers who have already murdered Charlotte's brother and mentor.
Seemed to be more about the sex than the story
Love the carpathians but... this was just not as good as the others in series
Ruth Jefferson is a labor and delivery nurse at a Connecticut hospital with more than 20 years' experience. During her shift, Ruth begins a routine checkup on a newborn, only to be told a few minutes later that she's been reassigned to another patient. The parents are white supremacists and don't want Ruth, who is African American, to touch their child. The hospital complies with their request, but the next day the baby goes into cardiac distress while Ruth is alone in the nursery. Does she obey orders, or does she intervene?
This was amazing. Beautiful, heart wrenching, I cannot thank Jodi enough for making me look at how I see the world and opening my eyes in a way that I pray God continues in everyone.
Katie Singleton, a partner with the Elite Guardians Protection Agency, stumbles upon her next assignment quite by accident. Spotting blue lights at a familiar restaurant, she stops to investigate, only to discover that owner Daniel Matthews has become the target of someone who will go to any lengths to put him out of business. Daniel might be concerned, but he's not convinced that a bodyguard - and a female one at that - is necessary. A new attack and his niece's urgings are enough to make him reconsider.
I enjoyed this book for the most part...felt the end did not gel with the essence of Daniels character. He didn't know what was happening with the restaurants rebuilding yet while everything was going on he was at all locations and seeking answers everyday- suddenly when Martin and Sarah are gone he ignores it for 5 weeks?
Also- what about the "gold mine" of artifacts under the restaurant? Just gone, never to be mentioned or dug out?
It was nice to see faith and family rebuilt!
God is amazing and having a character like Riley profess her belief constantly in all that she was going through is inspiring!!
Can't wait to start the next book in the series!
Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home. When she is 12, the Nazis occupy Paris and father and daughter flee to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where Marie-Laure’s reclusive great-uncle lives in a tall house by the sea. With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.
This is one of the most fascinating, poignant books I have ever had the pleasure of reading! The detailed descriptions are such that I saw, smelled, tasted, heard and touched every scene.
Well done!! I'll be re- reading!
Terrorism, duty, and personal safety collide when Jake Pendleton, an investigator for the NTSB, is called to investigate an aircraft accident in Savannah, Georgia during the St. Patrick's Day celebration. The accident, which at first appears to be quite run-of-the-mill, turns out to be anything but. Since Jake is not willing to pretend there are no suspicious circumstances and more than the usual share of rather unlikely "coincidences," he sets off a veritable avalanche of secrets, violence and treachery.
Enjoyed this so much! Ups and downs, twists and turns, even when I figured out who was involved there was always more.
The bodyguards of Elite Guardians Agency have more than just skill and prowess in common; they're also all women. When it becomes clear that popular psychiatrist and radio personality Wade Savage has a stalker, his father secretly hires Elite Guardians in order to protect his son. But when Wade's bodyguard is attacked and nearly killed, agency owner Olivia Edwards must step in and fill the gap.
Lynette Eason delivers again! Rachel Dulude's performance is perfect! Every nuance was spot on. I can't wait to reconnect with all of these new friends in the next section of their journey.
After a brush with death due to equipment failure, smokejumper Alexia Allen is ordered to take time off while the incident is under investigation. She makes a last-minute decision to recuperate at her mother's home and attend her high school reunion. Yet trouble seems to be following her, and within hours of arriving home she is confronted with murder, arson, and a handsome detective. But the conflicts ahead are nothing compared to the ghosts of her past.
I did not like the performance- the up and down cadence was distracting and disappointing.
The story is amazing.

In college, Griffin McCray and his four best friends had their lives planned out. Griffin and Luke Gallagher would join the Baltimore PD. Declan Gray would head to the FBI, and Parker Mitchell would go on to graduate school as a crime scene analyst. But then Luke vanished before graduation, and their world - and friendships - crumbled. Now Griffin is a park ranger at Gettysburg, having left life as a SWAT-team sniper when a case went bad.
Loved this! Enjoy getting to know new friends and building my faith as I learn from well written characters.

Owen Lawry is days away from leaving Gansett Island to attend the trial of his father, who is charged with assaulting his mother almost a year ago. He has spent his entire adult life trying to outrun his violent past, but the upcoming showdown with the father he hasn't seen in more than a decade has him spending far more time in the past than in the present. His biggest challenge is convincing his pregnant fiancée, Laura McCarthy, to sit out the trip.
Love this family! So nice to see them all continue to grow and thrive. The curves just keep coming!
