This was a good read. Not my favorite of this series, lots of melodrama, but still interesting. There is steam and story, which many authors forget to include something to keep the listeners interest. Worth the time spent.

If you could sum up His Desire in three words, what would they be?

Steam, romance, intrigue

Any additional comments?

This was an enjoyable listen. I read the book prior to listening to the story. There were spots that I did not remember in the book. There were several months between the two. I have to say, I liked the read better than the listen but both were good. One thing that makes this series is the intrigue. It is not all about the steam.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

This series has been a good listen up to this installment. The narrator is the only saving grace. The torture of the two male love interaction is like listening to love struck teens.

What could J.R. Ward have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Move it along. Cut some of the soliloquies.

Which scene was your favorite?

The interaction between the chosen and Havers.

The shots came quickly, silently, and with deadly accuracy. Within seconds, three people were dead at Central Park's ice skating rink. The victims: a talented young skater, a doctor, and a teacher. As random as random can be. Eve Dallas has seen a lot of killers during her time with the NYPSD, but never one like this. After reviewing security videos, it becomes clear that the victims were killed by a sniper firing a tactical laser rifle, who could have been miles away when the trigger was pulled.
