For best friends Mike, Max, and Ahmad, the bonds of friendship, love, and respect are put to the ultimate test as each one of them is forced to take a long, hard look at themselves and the women they love. They all said their "I do"s, but did they really understand what it meant?
This one was really good. I enjoy the storyline, the characters, and the flow. There’s definitely enough going on here to have a sequel, so I hope the author obliges the fans .
Befriending Traci Calloway Cole is the best thing Simone Phillips has ever done. Traci is the kind of woman Simone wants to be - in every way possible. She begins copying her role model. Not because she wants to be Traci. She just wants to be exactly like Traci. Traci doesn't worry, though. She knows Simone doesn't mean any harm and that her mimicry is only sincere admiration. Until she discovers how far Simone's obsession has gone.
It's the same story is been told over and over and over again. I don't know why this author decided to tell it one more time when there's so many other storylines she could've explored. The narrator is so stiff I don't know m author continues to use her. She fails to give the characters personality. She reads monotoned and because of this it's difficult to tell who is who sometimes.
A heated American Baptist Coalition election. A murky murder cover-up. An outrageous reality TV show. What in heaven's name kind of drama will holy rivals Rachel Jackson Adams and Jasmine Cox Larson Bush - prominent first ladies of the Baptist church - get themselves into next?
I really enjoyed the series and I look for new books all the time from this author and the storyline. However this storyline took a long time to get to a very disappointing and lackluster end. I usually enjoy the Jasmine character but she was over-the-top stubborn and sometimes extremely ignorant and because of that I did not enjoy the storyline. The The other characters coddled her when They really should've just cussed her out and called her what she was ignorant and stupid. The The storyline ended with a very basic
In this suspenseful Southern tale, we are introduced to King, a Southern born and bred hustler who is determined to take the drug empire handed to him by his father into the legitimate world of the music industry. Little does he know that when the streets birth you, trying to leave can be deadly. King's life is looking good when he meets a beautiful, classy queen.
This was good right up to the stupid way that they ended the story. Basically it didn't end...The author just stopped writing instead of coming up with a soft ending that left story lines open for a sequel. I was so bothered that I went looking for book 2 and discovered that the exact story was written under another title, same story, by the same author, with a different narrator. The second narrator performed much better. Good Luck...
Too much is never, ever enough for Alexis Crystal. She's playing a dangerous game, but she's finally close to getting 24/7 sizzling satisfaction. With a ring on her finger from James Wilcox and the woman she loves firmly between her sheets, no one can match Alexis when it comes to scheming. And her duplicity just makes her better at helping her siblings get revenge on the lovers who are doing them wrong....
I really enjoyed this one, hope there is more to tell about this family. looking forward to the next book.
With his drama-filled marriage behind him, Evan Murdoch has finally found happiness with his longtime friend turned fiancee, Leila Hawkins. But when his party boy brother, Terrence, is seriously injured in a car accident, a gossiping press puts the family back in the spotlight. Soon Terrence could face a lawsuit - and much worse if his vengeful half brother, Dante, has his way. Terrence's only bright spot is journalist C. J. Aston - but is she really on his side, or does she have another motive?
This one was a GREAT story to listen to and I can't wait for the next one.

Dontay Walker had it rough growing up in the projects with a drug-addicted mother who forced him to become a man at the young age of 15. His father was a rolling stone, having multiple children with many women. Dontay always fought for his father's attention - until taking his spot became more important than gaining his love. Now, at the age of 30, Don is the leader of one of the most successful and most feared drug organizations in the city of Philadelphia.
I can't imagine that it would be intentional for the authors to leave out pieces of the story. The storyline started, jumped into other storyline, and didn't really flow. It was interesting, but it was not the best story in the Kingpin series.
Dr. Kasen Phillips has the magic touch when it comes to helping his patients who are in dire need of counseling services, but when the love of his life winds up missing in action, Kasen's life takes a horrific turn for the worse. His office manager, Voncile Harper, is there to lend a helping hand. She's on a mission to shake Kasen from his misery by offering him her sweet heat, which he can't resist. It's not long before Kasen finds himself caught up in a web of Voncile's lies.
This is a typical stalker chick and jealous best friend story.Their motives were pretty weak, but I guess crazy people aren't supposed to make sense. However, it was suspenseful and I truly could not predict the outcome, so for that I gave this a four-star rating. The narrator did a pretty good job keeping it interesting and giving the character's personality through voice. great job I will definitely continue to read and listen to Carl Weber's books.

He's successful, kind, and sensitive - the type of man every woman wants. And truck driver Calvin Ramsey just loves women - especially the lonely, unappreciated ones he meets online, like Lola Poole. His deceitful ex-wife taught him that women really appreciate someone who cares about their deepest feelings and problems.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DON'T EVEN START READING IT!! THE END. I need to get my credit back.
