I have read a great many books in my 75 years and so thankful that this book came to me to listen. Now that I am blind books take on new meaning by hearing without reading the words. This book brings you into the story immediately and will not let you go until the end. This book is tender, raw, and meaningful. This story will change the way I see parts of my own life. Thank you for writing an unforgettable story.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this book as it was funny, a mystery, and an enjoyable listen

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Dresden the main hero.

Have you listened to any of James Marsters’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I loved his performance and have never heard him before. I do not think the book would be as good without his way of talking. I really enjoyed the way he read the book and glad I was able to listen instead of reading it myself.

Any additional comments?

I just bought the book because of the price and did not expect much but instead I got a great book that I really enjoyed and will listen to it again.

Catherine has been enjoying the single life for long enough to know a good catch when she sees one. Gorgeous, charismatic, spontaneous – Lee seems almost too perfect to be true. And her friends clearly agree, as each in turn falls under his spell. But there is a darker side to Lee. His erratic, controlling and sometimes frightening behaviour means that Catherine is increasingly isolated. Driven into the darkest corner of her world, and trusting no one, she plans a meticulous escape.

What made the experience of listening to Into the Darkest Corner the most enjoyable?

This is the best thriller I have ever listened to. Of all the best writers of our day this book by Elizabeth Haynes puts them to shame. I wish this book could be put on the top of everyone's list of must reads.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I could not stop listening on the edge of my seat clear through the entire book. As an avid reader I have not had a book keep me engaged so thoroughly as this story. I will listen to this book many times again. I wanted to jump right into the book and take part in the story.

What about David Thorpe and Karen Cass ’s performance did you like?

Karen Cass does an amazing job portraying this woman's story. David Thorpe comes in only when needed which is perfect.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Prepare yourself to forget the popcorn and soda as you will be in the movie yourself.

Any additional comments?

I just picked this book out of thin air but I wish I could tell everyone that loves thrilling books to read this one.

"If Robert Littell didn't invent the American spy novel," says Tom Clancy, "he should have." In this spectacular Cold-War-as-Alice-in-Wonderland epic, Littell, "the American le Carre," takes us down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinthine world of espionage that has been the CIA for the last half-century. "Ostensibly a single novel, The Company can also be listened to as an anthology of cracking good spy stories," says ( Publishers Weekly).
