This mystery turns out to be so much more than advertised. (in a very good way) I love the book club aka the geezer squad! From the moment you meet them I was hoping things turned out the way they do in the end.

Looking into cold cases is their thing but when Chris their newest member is kind of reaccused of a cold case and keeps finding himself in the middle of current murders the squad gets busy. Throw in family, relationships, pets and old friends you know things get interesting fast. And don’t forget the ice storm! Really fun book!

This is a super fun murder mystery! And who doesn’t like a little make up and lots of sweets thrown in! The story is fast paced and upbeat with fun characters that live in the south, throw in some fun one liners and its perfect! Some of her clients are so much fun! Tonia Blake does a fantastic job on the narration and makes it easy to listen while bringing the story to life! This book was given to me at my request in exchange for an honest review.

Miss Emma Baxter has been sold by her uncle to repay his gambling debt. She must find a way to get herself out of this terrible predicament before its too late. At the last minute she decides to run for it and stows herself away in a carriage. She finds herself in the company of a Duke and becomes his daughters new governess. This is a short and sweet story, and you'll fall in love the dukes sweet daughter. The narration is really nice and the short spot when Anne Marie Damman sings is beautiful. Very nicely done!

Jonas Parker, the Earl of Harrington has no desire to marry. He rather enjoys being unencumbered. Lady Marian Lindsay rather likes being a spinster and embraces her bluestocking ways. She's studying to be a physician and wants to be a proper doctor. After careful deliberation she devises a scheme but she needs help. Harrington is appalled at Marian’s request but she somehow manages to charm him into saying yes. Before he realizes it, he’s escorting her to Kent and a house party. Propriety must be met at all costs because he will not be wed at the end of her expedition - or will he?

The Earl of Harrington's grandfather is really a bad seed. Finding a refuge in the Wicked Earls club proves to be the best thing that has happened to him in a while. Lady Marian is determined to be a spinster she cant help but feel a bit different about that when the Earl is around. The two have great chemistry and their friends bring a lot to the story. I think my favorite part is when I realized that Alys and her husband the Duke of Weston make an appearance in the book. They actually have their own series, but it was like visiting an old friend. The story was nicely written with a bit of action and fun. The narration is good, but the mispronunciation of certain words of the time gets a bit annoying.

This story is kind of all over the place and you really have no idea why any of it happens. Was the chocolate poisoned (or is it some alternate reality). Other than reading the summary the author writes on the back of the book you would never really know this. When they are in the "Gods" world they keep jumping around and from spot to spot with no real explanation, I can guess its part of her powers, but extending the story and explaining some of this could of so benefited the story. Kate Tyler does and awesome job on the narration.

Although the book is part of a series you have no problem feeling like it was a standalone. I was a bit confused in the beginning though why she was concerned about calling to tell him she was going out of town. (It felt like she was under house arrest instead of keeping a friend or loved one in the loop about your plans.) I love the native American aspect of the story, allowing her grandmother to speak to her in her dreams. The narration was nice.

The book is not quite what I expected. The authors summary says its a far future US, I felt like it was more steampunk. Its a time when women of means were not to work. You must really respect Jacqueline for going against the times and hiding her own work, knowing one day she may need the money. The start of the book is a bit confusing as it throws a lot of characters at you really fast and I could not keep up with who was good and bad. The mystery was a good one and these families are somewhat ruthless. Nice job on the narration.

I just love how this ties in to the other stories in the series and answers so many previous questions. Of course all the books in the series can be read as stand alones, but they are so much more fun reading them all. Sabrina finds out what is in those "headache" pills that the hypnotherapist is prescribing to his patients, but never gets the chance to question him. But she finally gets the chance to question the "secret society" with her boyfriend by her side. And of course snickerdoodle makes an appearance in the story. He seems so sweet! The narration is fantastic, great job!

Jenna is sent in to investigate a series of murders in Bruges. Upon her arrival she meets a handsome yet quirky young man. He begins to grow on Jenna. I love the subtle hints about him throughout the story! The guild master needs to do some revamping of is guild. He should be the one in trouble for letting things get this out of hand and leaving one so incompetent in charge and not enough members to defend the city. The story is fast paced and super easy to listen to. The narration is very nice!
