Lonnie is just your average runner for the infamous Eighth Street Gang when he gets an urgent phone call to back up his crew after trouble follows them home from a drug deal gone bad. During the ensuing firefight, Lonnie sees some things he wishes he hadn't, including the gang's leader, Selix, channeling her powers from a place called the Fade by getting high...and dancing. Memories begin unraveling inside Lonnie's darkened mind. Memories of dragons and fiends and fire-swept otherworlds. Memories Selix controls with a simple touch.

Right from the start, the main character is beaten down with nowhere to go. Great opening to the book. Then as the plot unwinds, you get the feeling that he may be more than what he seems.

This was my first book by Kenny Soward and I would not hesitate to read or listen more of his.

I enjoy a book that starts right off the bat and continues all the way through without any let up. This was one of those books. You had compassion for the killer and the organization they worked for. The plot was interesting to say the least and ended very well.

It is so hard to write a review without telling the story line or having spoilers in it, so story line will have to do.

Agent G is sent on a Mission by his organization to kill someone. He appears to be just a drone at first, but then starts remembering things from his past which were supposed to be wiped from his brain. With this starting to happen, all shit hits the fan.

Enough said. Read it. Enjoy it and wait for the ending.

Solid 4 stars.

For hundreds of years, dark clouds covered the skies of Adamah, and an ageless king ruled. Those who emerged with one of six extraordinary Shay powers were forced into the king's army, an unmatched force with inhuman strength, speed, accuracy, perception, empathy, and healing. With the army behind him, the king - a man who wields all six abilities - was invincible and unquestioned in his rule.

I enjoyed this book a lot. And Gary Furlong did a great job. He kept you right there through all the changes of the characters and the action.

Kristal Shaff is going to make a name for herself when people find out about her and I hope they do it fast. This series could go on for a while.

Setting the ground works for the story was done with great ease and the flow was great.

My name is Roy Morgan, and I'm not your average Atlanta cop. For one, most of them don't have to kill people to stay alive. I do. It's a half-demon thing. Yep, that's right, half-demon. It's awesome, especially since I'm half-warlock too, and those two sides don't much get along. Still, that and a buck will get you a candy bar. So it's all good. Or at least it was. See, I had this dumb idea to stop a robbery in progress and have myself a snack. Turns out these weren't your run of the mill robbers. No, these were demonic slavers.

I just love the way Cipriano turns his characters into likable people. Say what you will about demons, when they start doing their thing, you know that the one they are doing it to deserves whole heartily,

The darkness is still, silent. Jackee Maren's heart pounds, reverberating through her body as fear sears her veins. Someone's coming. No way out. This time they will kill me. Her breath is short, her chest burns. Must run. Faster. Faster! Her eyes fly open, her heart still racing with blinding fear. Jackee breathes deeply with relief and stares at the ceiling desperately trying to calm herself. The same dream. Something, someone is watching...and waiting. A tragic car accident leaves beautiful, vibrant Jackee Maren completely paralyzed, able to move only her eyes.

First things first. "This review copy audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost."

I've listened to a lot of mind books and if you stay with this book, it won't disappoint you. Just ignore the brain farts as to color of eyes and blow that off. I know copy editors have a ton to do in a short amount of time and will miss certain things. I chalk this up to that.

This girl has nine lives it seems. 4 attempts at killing her. All failed. And the sex, the sex, the sex and the sex. Just a little to much for me so skimmed over a lot of that stuff. Content was good and it took you into the mind of a person that could not talk.

I look forward to more from this author to see how they progress.

That said, I really am glad I listened to this. It was a breath of fresh air considering all the other books in the same vain. There were a few surprises and it kept the book flowing right along.

Warps is an Apprentice Warper. They are assassins for the most part. Problem is, he has not claimed a life yet. His mentor gives him his first assignment and he muffs it royally. He then takes him on a mission that will change his life forever. Kill an Immortal Emperor.

He just can't kill anyone, so he just accomplishes his assignments in other ways. Because, once you have killed, it will be in your blood and nothing can cure it.

RJ did a fantastic job at keeping you interested and not wanting to stop the book. I listened to it in 1 sitting. Could not put it down.

4 Stars straight across.

What does James Foster bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He kept it flowing really fast. Loved the tempo.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
