Out on the town with her best friend, Beth takes a risk and agrees to a threesome with a gorgeous young stud who's half her age. When she begins to question whether or not she can go through with the plan, Beth loses her ability to choose as she's reminded of her old friend's special calling in life - dominatrix. Beth's idea of a threesome takes on a new life as she comes face to face with Kate's commanding personality.
Beth's Night Out by Ginger Powers and narrated by Eve Aviedon. This is a short story about Beth and her best friend Kate going out on the town meeting a young man and deciding to go back and relive some memories of their youth. The women decide to have a threesome with a gorgeous young stud half age. Kate steps in using her commanding personality to make sure this takes place. At 1 hour and 10 minutes, this was a short but rather enjoyable little story. Ms. Powers has done an excellent job with this fun title. It was very well written and made for some enjoyable smirk-inducing listening.
The narration by Eve Aviedon of Beth’s Night Out made for an enjoyable audiobook. The narrator did an excellent job of setting the tone just right for all the different characters and the ways they changed and reacted to each other as they went into a scene to make the BDSM scenes more believable. Orphaned and sold to a harsh master, Lera's life is about mucking stalls, avoiding her master's advances, and steering clear of the mystical forest separating the mortal and fae worlds. Only fools venture into the immortal realms, and only dark rumors come out... Until four powerful fae warriors appear at Lera's barn. River, Coal, Tye, and Shade have waited a decade for their new fifth to be chosen, the wounds from their quint brother's loss still raw. But the magic has played a cruel trick, bonding the four immortal warriors to... a female. A mortal female.
Written by Alex Liddell and narrated by Victoria Mei this was a unique book it's the first in the Power of Five Series, book 1. Reverse Harem fantasy. This was an audiobook for me. It’s a story of a human mortal being magically linked to four elite fae Warriors. it's more of a Paranormal Romance with a little bit of a twist the fantasy on the side. If you're a fan of Warrior Fantasy type World building a lot of that goes on in the first novel but it is balanced with a good bit of Paranormal Romance.
Lara is orphaned young, she was sold to a cruel master spends and her nights fending off her Masters advances her days working in the Stables River cool shade and Thai decade for a new person to be chosen to form their Quint. Laura is the first human ever chosen. The four fey take her into the Shadow Lands with hopes of severing the magical connection to her.
The narration by Victoria Mei was just amazing. This is the first time I have heard a vocal performance from Ms. Mei. She really did a fantastic job. The way she brought the characters to life was simply amazing from the accent she gave to Tye. The newness and awe of all that Lara views in this expanded world Ms. Mei vocalizes for the listeners to perfection. The production quality was also of very high quality.

Jason has known Sophie since preschool, although Sophie didn't even know who he was until their second year of high school. When Jason’s father leaves after having an affair, he turns to food for comfort. Sophie is quick to spot his weight gain and ensures the next few years of his life are hell. Jason has one thing to look forward to though: college. He spends all summer getting back into shape, and things finally seem to be going his way until a familiar face shows up and brings everything crashing down around him.
On the Edge: Twisted by Danica Reid, Thirds Cousins and narrated by Samuel Deeter is an amazing coming of age romance. For such a short volume it has some layers in the writing. You should never judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes. Twisted is one of those audiobooks that is very short but it also offers some good moral advice. Jason was a kid who had a horrible home life and because of those events led to an eating disorder where he sought comfort in food. In school, he went back overweight. He noticed Sophie had changed too, Hot Cotton Candy Pink hair. For just looking in her direction she labeled him a Fat Perv and was cruel to him for the rest of High School. Tormenting him any chance she could for entertainment. College was his new 'Fresh Start' but as fate would have it she shows up there too. With a title like Twisted, you can guess what will happen.
I really enjoyed this short audiobook. There is a lesson that is often lost on the young of today in this disconnected world we live in. We can chat face time and Instant Message with people around the world but what about the boy or girl next door. We live in a Society and we don't really care for each other we hide behind our keyboards toss out memes and rarely interact. If you get this audiobook take to heart the lesson of Jason and step up. Time to step off the soapbox now and return to the regular review format. I highly recommend this audiobook. The writing was excellent and I plan to follow this series. The narration was highly enjoyable. The production quality was excellent. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
When Amy Landers inherits Aunt Polly’s Inn, she has no plans to stay any longer than it takes to sell it. Even though Amy spent her childhood summers with Aunt Polly in cattle country, she’s lived the past 14 years as a refined city girl in Seattle. She has no desire to change, until she sees her childhood playmate Jesse Drake, now a strapping cattle rancher next door. Amy can barely stand the sight of a tumbleweed and refers to Country Western radio as the Book of Job put to music. It will take more than a cowboy in a nice pair of jeans to win this city girl's heart.
The Reluctant Cowgirl: A Romantic Comedy/ Taming the Cowboy's Heart Book 1 by Renee Riva and narrated by Gabriel Puyat.
Amy landers he inherits her Aunt Polly's Inn which is located along the Columbia River in Wishram Washington. She spent many summers there as a girl until her liberal mother pulled her away and spent time molding her be an independent woman spending all her time going to Art, Music, and other programs in Seattle. Amy now, a refined city girl. As she has been for the last 14 years, she has no desire to change.
She runs into her childhood playmate Jesse Drake, who is now a big buff cattle rancher, running the ranch next to her Aunt Polly's Inn. He actually knows her aunt better than she did. As t most romantic comedy books go they are like oil and water. The longer days, the more she remembers why she loved spending so much time with her Aunt Polly and Jake.
This is the first time that I have heard any of Ms. Puyats performances. She really did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life in this setting. I very much enjoyed the performance and I am looking forward to hearing more from her in the future. I was given this free review copy at my request and had voluntarily left this review.
Five years after working triage during America's terrible Day of Destruction, Dr. Ethan King wants nothing more than a normal life. But when he finds an abandoned "Inexorable" child freezing to death in the snow, he must make a choice that could cost him everything and unravel a thread of dark woven secrets. As he races to find a cure for whatever is creating a generation of doomed children, Ethan discovers that doing the right thing in an evil world is never as clear and easy as it seems.
Written by T. A. Ward and narrated by Tom Askin. This is a book that is mostly about a doctor named Ethan King and his life as a doctor in the United States after it suffers a horrific nuclear and chemical weapon attack. Dr. King was working the day of the attack; the chemical weapons caused horrific effects to women who become pregnant. The chemical causes the brains of unborn children to lose all control of their impulses. The children become extremely violent.
Chemical released on the day of wrath is called Obcases. And basically, the United States has become a country that can't really have kids anymore. The birthrate had dropped to only 1 in 10 kids is born to a normal life the rest are Inexorable. The children with the brain damage are called Inexorable. They're relentless and unstoppable because these kids are just little horrific killing machines if the parents have one they are told the risks they face if they take the child home to raise or they can turn it over to the state and have it put down.
The book breaks into two parts the first part is Dr. King working on the day of the attack. He is running a decontamination tent. Then horror of that day and all he bears witness to on the Day of Wrath. The second part jumps to 5 years later when he finds one of these inexorable children and brings the child home and tries to cure him. This is the story of a man's unconditional love for his son that he wants to save and the unintended consequences of his action for his family.
This is a different moving post-apocalyptic story. I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it for people who like a post-apocalyptic type story with a little bit of conspiracy thrown. The narration is top notch. This is the first time I've ever heard Tom Askin as a narrator and he does excellent job he hits all the right notes and gets you really emotionally invested in the story and the characters. He gets you to really feel for these characters, especially the weight in the gravitas of everything this doctor feels and goes through to save people during these events. This is the first time I've ever listened to anything from the author and I really like the way he wrote this. I plan to follow more of his work. This totally original audiobook is about a cock...sure man who is caulky, cocked up, and above all else, confident. He lays it into a lady real good and leaves her satisfied. This is a totally great comedy erotica story that in no way infringes on a certain word, no sirree, not at all.
Written by Fettuccine Alfredo and narrated by Megyn Kelly. A small bookstore owner of a Unique Boutique Bookstore has a book signing for an author of a series of books that are romance novels of a bad boy variety. The author is a very handsome, cocky, and arrogant fellow who arrives early and sweeps this self-assured woman off her feet he even goes so far as to win over her rescue Cocker Spaniel. This is 15 minutes of pure satire that is just flat-out funny it is one of the few times I was just rolling laughing at the pure comic genius of this author's and the narrator's comedic timing it is well worth a credit. Westley Flagg isn't your usual lawbreaker. He's a poacher, a moonshiner, and a prepper, out of necessity. Despite trying to live on the straight and narrow, he knows the law can turn things on you in a heartbeat. When Wes has to come up with money for his Grandpa's surgery, he gets involved with an unsavory group. Living deep in poverty for most of his life, he's become resilient and flexible, but college education can only take him so far. A solar storm sends the northern lights as far south as Texas, and cascading failures in the grid cripple the nation. Now, without communications, Flagg has to prove he has what it takes to still survive.
Blackout: Still Surviving, Volume 1 written by Boyd Craven III and narrated by Kevin Pierce is simply an amazing audiobook. The author is well known in the Post Apocalyptic Fiction genre but has expanded and humanized the genre by adding real characters. The readers and listeners get to learn about have time to emotionally invest in the storyline and the charters lives and struggles before the event. These are not super rich prepper's just average people. Struggling to survive day to day.
The main character is Wesley Flagg a moonshiner, Grandson, and College Educated hopefully soon to be employed as a teacher. For him prepping was a way of life being raised by his grandparents. Raider is a stray dog that claims him and leads him to an old his school friend named Jessica who works at the local chain Pet store and offers obedience training. This book is filled with plenty of backstories but it is not without a purpose. Once the event happens there will be guns and action for all the action junkies do not worry.
Also if you get to the end and are all like"What the heck dude" go back and look at the title. Go on I will give you a minute and a clue (Volume 1). There is more to the story.
The narration by Kevin Pierce was just incredible. Mr. Pierce can quickly get you invested in the story and the characters. The audience is along for the journey with characters and most loving every minute of it. The production quality of this audiobook is also topnotch. I heard no problems with it all. I recommend giving this title a listen if you are a fan of Kevin Pierce, Survival Fiction, or Post Apocalyptic Fiction. The Jonathan Shade series continues with books 4-6: The Complete Time Travel Trilogy. Includes: Anubis Nights, Sunset Specters, and Wizard's Nocturne. From hunting a dead sorcerer in ancient Egypt to the roaring 20s where flappers dance to jazz and secret societies kill each other for magical dominance....
The Jonathan Shade series continues with books 4-6: The Complete Time Travel Trilogy Omnibus. This contains the Anubis Nights, Sunset Specters, and Wizard's Nocturne by Gary Jonas and narrated by Joe Hempel. First, you really need to have listened to or read the first three books in the series. They even come in a nice omnibus edition here at Audible. Second, if you do not like time travel stories mixed in with Urban Fantasy stories and multiple timelines I have some bad news for you for if you did not read the publishers blurb about what is contained in the Omnibus Edition.
Jonathan Shade is a PI who can see ghosts. He is working a case dealing with a witch and the ghost of her son. Sharon/Charon and Chronos show up at Kelly's dojo and calling in Jonathan's favor to be named later for his being allowed back out of the underworld. Jonathan and his friends must stop Henry Winslow; powerful magician from immortal. To do so, he split himself into three aspects and placed each one at a different time and place in the past. Now Jonathan and his friends must travel back in time and kill each aspect. Jonathan and Kelly back ancient Egypt to stop Henry Winslow from getting the Emerald Tablets of Thoth. Meanwhile, Brand and Esther go back to the 1870s. Rayna goes to the 1920's to the time of Henry Winslow's original death. They are all linked to each other by Chronos using magic. So when they kill Winslow in the past they have to be touching each other and be pulled forward to the next person as a link in the chain. Kill all three and go home. Sounds easy right? Nothing is ever easy when dealing with a Titan and magic. Over the three audiobooks, you are going to see Jonathan Shade grow and change as a character some people will wonder what the hell Gary Jonas? What have you done to my beloved character? Just be patient and chill and listen to the whole set if you are new to the series. These Omnibus sets are a great way to get new listeners into the world of Jonathan Shade for a budget price.
The narration was by Joe Hempel. When I find an audiobook and see that Joe Hempel is narrating I know two things. First, I am going to hear a high quality, professional performance with great emotion and variation for each character. The characters become living breathing people for me during the time the audiobook is running through my headphones. Mr. Hempel brings depth and passion to all the characters in the grand cast. One great example is Ankhesenamun and the haughtiness that comes from a mindset of Egyptian royalty and those around her are beneath her. That is just one of example another is how he can swap between dialects flawlessly without missing a beat. Mr. Hemple can do Kelly Chans Chinese accent with subtle quite danger-filled sarcasm and then switch to Shades snark in a heartbeat.
This is a must-have for anyone interested in urban fantasy, fans of the Dresden Files, Clocking in at 17 plus hours it is a great value. I highly recommend it. This review copy audiobook was provided by the narrator free of charge for an unbiased review.
Teenager Amanda Castle was like a lot of people, posting pictures of her everyday life to a variety of social media sites. Not everyone who viewed her pictures was there to share in her experiences. One was there to steal her profile pictures. A terrorist in Frankfurt was desperate to please his leadership. He planned the perfect attack, one in which vulnerable people would be invited through social media to participate in a flash mob. There, the unwitting participants, thinking they were taking part in a random act of kindness, would find themselves engaged in a random act of terror.
The story is written by Franklin Horton who is the best known for his work in the post-apocalyptic fiction genre and his series The Borrowed World and Locker 9. The Author made a seamless transition into the thriller genre with Random Acts. In the story, the main character Amanda Castle a soon to be a high school senior has lost her mother and will be moving from Northern Virginia to North Carolina with her Birth Father Cole. Amanda has been gone for 5 years only seeing her father on summer vacations. Like all teens, she is constantly on all forms of social media posting non-stop. She can not understand her father's irrational dislike of all forms of social media.
In Germany with use of stolen internet photos, two men begin to plan acts of terror. They find a weak-willed, emotionally damaged, socially isolated, young man whose only outlet is online gaming and lives in the United States. The plan requires a test run first in Germany to prove proof of concept. All while using stolen social media photos and creating fake social media profiles to entice willing dupes to assist in these ventures, Photos that just happen to be of Amanda Castle and other similar attractive young women.
This story holds the listener's attention from the beginning to the end. It goes to some really dark places and some emotional places as well. The author never fails to create well-developed characters that the reader or listener becomes emotionally invested in through the story. It was hard to not listen to this entire audiobook in one whole sitting.
The narration by Kevin Pierce was excellent. Mr. Pierce is able to get the listener invested in the story and the characters and whatever situations the may be facing. He has this perfect voice for the narration of darn near any genre. The audience is along for the journey with characters and most loving every minute of it. The production quality of this audiobook is also topnotch. I heard no problems with it all. I recommend giving this title a listen if you are a fan of Kevin Pierce, Franklin Horton, Thrillers, or want to try something new.
I highly recommend getting this audiobook it is timely with its subject matter and a really great story that you will enjoy. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Rachel Kramer Bussel was at the vanguard of this new era of BDSM. Always a step ahead of the zeitgeist, this award-winning editor knows your private fetishes a lot better than you do. Now that 2 million readers are bondage curious, thanks to the runaway popularity of the Fifty Shades series, Rachel can help them explore their fantasies and realize their deepest desires.
Best Bondage Erotica 2015 of a collection of the Best BDSM stories for that year. Rachel Kramer Bussel is the editor. Gabrielle Tuller provides the narration on this collection of short stories. The stories were enjoyable but the experience was lessened by the narration. I play with reducing the playback speed tweaking slower the equalizer on the iPod and it helped some but a different narrator would have better served these authors works properly. The production value was also rather low quality on the recording. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
