Because I had seen the movie version. It became a compelling need to visit the underlying story line to gain more insight from adventurers themselves. I was not disappointed at all. In fact... I was deeply drawn in as though Yossi himself was relaying his remarkable experience... Well done...👏👏👏👏👏

For readers and listeners of Jon Krakauer and The Lost City of Z, a remarkable tale of survival and solitude - the true story of a man who lived alone in a tent in the Maine woods, never talking to another person and surviving by stealing supplies from nearby cabins for 27 years.

I came upon the story and book via a news feed. It's compelling story of survival and loneliness hit home. Over the years I've entertained and searched the idea of living off the grid. Perhaps, I may have done something similar had I not developed a breathing problem. We need to look at his testimony as a contribution to mankind. There is so much Christopher Thomas Knight has to offer and teach about human life and instinct. I only hope he is approached in a manner palatable that meets his comfort zone. Absolutely fantastic story of accomplishments.. 👏👏👏👏👏

Moments after Lisbeth is born, she’s taken from her mother and handed over to an enslaved wet nurse, Mattie, a young mother separated from her own infant son in order to care for her tiny charge. Thus begins an intense relationship that will shape both of their lives for decades to come. Though Lisbeth leads a life of privilege, she finds nothing but loneliness in the company of her overwhelmed mother and her distant, slave-owning father.
