I'm NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance "Romance". I'm notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I'm a player on and off the ice. I'm the one women with no inhibitions want. Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don't know how to be any other way. I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does.
I was WRONG!!! This was an awesome book - absolutely loved it! Pucked was fantastic - on my re-listen list, it's so funny, I can't help but crack up all the way through it - but this one touches my heart in new ways. The narrators do a beautiful job, the story is great and I love getting to know Lance and Poppy!

See the world of Fifty Shades of Grey anew through the eyes of Christian Grey. In Christian's own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E. L. James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled millions of listeners around the world.
this is the same story so don't go into it thinking you will get something different. I absolutely loved the ending. we got to see so much more into his mind and heart. that is what we asked for!!!
Flynn and Natalie’s exciting story, begun in Virtuous and Valorous, concludes in book 3, Victorious!
So, I'm wondering, can I just keep listening to this series on endless loop for a few weeks? Maybe not a good idea!
Book 3 fixes up the cliffhangers from book 2, introduces a few new dramas as well. There is a TON of sex in this one, it really ratchets up the racy side of life by introducing some lighter BDSM. I will say, there are some 50-esque parts, but that is because both authors did their research and learned what frequently happens as far as contracts, etc. This series is in no way a copy cat of anyone or anything else. It was different in many ways. Yes, I saw nuances of other stories, just because I've read so many I can relate them together. It was a great story. I will say there was a bit too much sex, only because it cut away from the story, but we were just tieing it all up at the end anyway (pun intended).
There was an epilogue, but it was only days later. Would love to get a view of their future, maybe 5 or so years out. I am a sucker for a good epilogue.

Natalie and Flynn’s exciting story, begun in book 1, Virtuous, continues in Valorous!
Valorous starts off right where Virtuous ends. There continues to be dual narrations, which was done well. Still there are no red flags for me. These are books that allow you to see the couple's relationship as it is growing, how they are together, not apart for 95% of the book and at the end BOOM...all is well! You really get a feeling for the relationship between Flynn and Natalie.
Natalie has bared her soul to Flynn and most of the world, she is becoming more confident with her secrets and choices every day. She is meeting great new people, seeing Flynn's world and his heart.
Flynn, however, is still holding on to his secrets, thinking that if it is in the past, there is no reason to share it and hurt Natalie. As it does, of course this will eventually blow up in his face.
We get to meet the lovely, vindictive ex-wife who hates Flynn, what a gem she is :)
His family is almost TOO perfect, but sweet and we like them.
This second book really exposes the couple to more ridicule, there are major decisions to be made and lots of ups and downs.
Then comes that cliffhanger...OUCH!!! Hold on to your seats for this one!

After surviving a traumatic event at age fifteen and the ensuing estrangement from her family, Natalie Bryant has worked for years to reinvent herself into the woman she is today—a happy teacher fresh out of college and enjoying her first winter in New York City with her faithful dog, Fluff, by her side. Natalie isn’t expecting her life to change completely during a routine stroll through Greenwich Village on a blustery January day. But when Fluff breaks loose and charges into a park, Natalie gives chase and crashes into her destiny. Only after Fluff bites and draws blood from the man who accidentally knocked Natalie down does she realize Fluff has bitten the biggest movie star in the world.
Let me start off by saying that I have been in a terrible book slump for a couple of months now. I've tried new books, old books, favorite books, hot books, easy books, drama books and NOTHING and I mean NOTHING, even some of my absolute favorites couldn't pull me out. Well...this did it! I started this first book on Sunday evening, after my BFF read reviews and suggested I try it, I resisted for a few hours, tried something else with no luck and finally gave in. I read lots of reviews first and was completely unsure. By the middle of this book, I was hooked, enough to call and tell her to stop the book she was on and get on this one.
Meet Flynn, he is an A list Hollywood actor, on location in New York. He is 33 years old, the world's hottest guy, rich, sweet, funny, famous, sexy, etc...But...he has a dark side!!! LOVE IT!
Introducing Natalie, a somewhat normal 23 year old 3rd grade teacher, recently out of college, living in New York with a wacky terror of a 20 lb dog. She is beautiful, quiet, a bit reclusive, kind, sincere, with big rules and bigger secrets.
As their most necessary "meet cute" occurs, we fall a little in love with this sweet pair. In this first of three books we are introduced to Flynn and Natalie, many great secondary characters, her dog Fluff and get a general idea of their personalities. The first half moved a bit slowly as the couple danced around the "should I, shouldn't I" question of if they should pursue something together.
Flynn totally chases Natalie (which I absolutely LOVE) until...well...he doesn't. But then, he does again, so it's great. Once Flynn makes the decision to go for it though, man he doesn't hold back! Talk about whiplash! He is one fast mover!!! Natalie pretty much goes along for the ride, for a while, then her life is turned COMPLETELY upside down. Get your tissue boxes ready and prepare for total outrage and tears.
Flynn is wonderfully attentive and sweet to Natalie. Their relationship is already great. Once she gets over her initial shock, she is amazing resilient and strong. She is incredible.
*I'm really trying not to give anything away, so this is a bit difficult*
Virtuous is a true love story, it takes place in just over a week. There were none of my red flags. No cheating, no rude talk between the couple, hot sex, nothing crazy *YET*
There are discussions of past sexual assault that this series focuses on quite a bit, the aftermath of the assault and moving forward. As a survivor myself I found it written well, though sometimes difficult, it was not a trigger for me. Very sympathetic.
Both of the first two books are cliffhangers, so, with about 9 hours each, you need to be prepared to spend 3 credits on about 27 hours of reading. Well worth it to me! I am hoping for more from other characters in the future! This will be a relisten for me. The narrators did well.
This is Romance, please don't say, "It isn't realistic." Well, no, if it were we'd just cry and not want to read that.
One by one the members of Stage Dive are falling in love. David, Mal, and Jimmy have all taken the plunge, and now it's Ben's turn - only he refuses to fall into that trap. The sexy bassist enjoys his no-strings-attached lifestyle. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there.
Ok so the story was ok...good...but we only got to see them together really together for a little while then it was over. I needed a lot more.
As the lead singer of Stage Dive, Jimmy is used to getting whatever he wants whenever he wants it - now he's caught up in a life of hard partying and fast women. When a PR disaster serves as a wake-up call and lands him in rehab, he finds himself with Lena, a new assistant hired to keep him out of trouble. Lena's not willing to take any crap from her sexy boss and is determined to keep their relationship completely professional, despite their sizzling chemistry. But when Jimmy pushes her too far, he just might lose the best thing that's ever happened to him.
oh Jimmy you are such a challenge!!! We know Jimmy from the previous two books. He has not been seen as the hero type but getting to know him better in his own book is good. I usually don't like a book where the girl is doing all the chasing but that said this is a good one. A bit heart wrenching at times but a great addition to the series. It is great when the books in the series are different but similar enough to work together. love catching up with the previous two couples as well.
Mal Ericson, drummer for the world-famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast - at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn't plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn't count on finding the one right girl. Anne Rollins never thought she'd ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls - especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn't end well.
this is a great cute and funny story. Mal and Anne are a very funny couple with their own issues. Neither delve hugely deep but we get enough to love them both. This is a great go to series!
Shiori Hirano and Knox Lofgren are left to run the martial arts program at Black Arts while Ronin Black travels. On the surface, the two highest ranked belts appear to cooperate--but in private, they butt heads constantly despite the undeniable attraction between them. Soon their power exchanges start to make for a sweltering dynamic in the bedroom....
Shiori is a Domme which makes Knox a submissive...WOWZA! I didn't think it would matter, but honestly it did. I hate that this sounds sexist because I'm not, but I LOVE a great Alpha male! Their arrangement was supposed to be that she was in charge in the bedroom but he was everywhere else. She never respected that. They were together, which was good, but there was so much back and forth with the relationship and confused or blurred lines I found it frustrating. The writing in and of itself was good, just wasn't the story for me.

No matter how hard Haddie tries to forget about him, Becks relentlessly tries to prove that she should start living for today. But she is determined to avoid romantic commitment, and she can always use her ex-boyfriend's reappearance to help snuff out the slow burn within her that Becks has sparked. Or will fate force her to realize that this kind of connection doesn’t come along very often and a chance at love is worth the risk?
I LOVE K Bromberg's Driven series, so it breaks my heart to say, There was way toooooo much drama, too many tears, too much back and forth. She'd give in and then turn him away. I like Becks but Jeesch! This was just cruel. I get the issues she is facing, heartbreaking. But MY GOD WOMAN! Let someone in. Too many secrets, to many lies, too much total self-centeredness. I get it, I do, but this is not how to go about it. The epilogue was good. There were parts I likes, mostly when they were actually together, but that was so little of the time it was a return for me.
