The first four novels in the Assassin series in a specially priced bundle. King of Swords is an epic assassination thriller framed against a gritty backdrop of drug cartel violence in Mexico. Captain Romero Cruz of the Mexican Federal Police must track and stop El Rey, the "King of Swords" - a faceless super-assassin responsible for a string of the world's most spectacular killings - before he turns the G20 financial summit into a slaughterhouse.
The first story is the best IMHO. After that it drifts away from the Assassin and focuses on the police inspector and his life.
I’ll get the 5th book in hopes that it returns to the original story line
In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child - not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring, like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power - the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.
I was hesitant about getting this book. So sorry that I put it off. This is simply amazing. It entices you with the first few chapters and then your hooked. I can’t find another book by this author or narrator. Perdita Weeks has a beautiful voice.
I’ll be sorry when this book ends. I’m sure I’ll be listening to it again soon
They say you shouldn't push your luck. Max gives her own luck a massive shove every day - and it's only a matter of time until luck pushes back.... January, 1536 - the day of Henry VIII's infamous jousting accident. Historians from St Mary's are there in force, recording and documenting. And arguing - obviously. A chance meeting between Max and the Time Police leads to a plan of action. And it's one that will have very serious consequences - especially for Max.
Loved the story up till the end. I strongly agree with the other reviewer. What the heck happened to the end. I also thought that the down load was corrupted, but no it just ends.
I don’t mind cliff hangers but this just stopped. Will have to think about getting the next installment.

When vampires attack David White's small town, only luck, firepower, and the intervention of an elite government task force saves his life. The aftermath of the attack leaves him in the middle of the world's biggest secret: the existence of government agencies that regulate the supernatural. They insist that David's "luck" is actually a supernatural gift, and he's immediately recruited into ONSET, the most shadowy part of America's thin blue line of police protectors.
The story line is interesting.. I see that there are two other books in this series, however they are not available at this time. I did notice that Ray Porter is not the Narrator for those books. I love Ray Porter, I was looking for a book narrated by him when I ran across this book. Since he’s not the narrator for the next two I won’t be following up with this series

A devious serial killer lays siege to the city of Philadelphia, brutally sacrificing pretty young Catholic girls on the altar of insanity. As the body count rises, an exceptional investigating partnership struggles to stop him. Detective Jessica Balzano, Philly's Homicide Unit's newest rookie, is teamed up with veteran cop Kevin Byrne, respected for his solve rate and known for his unorthodox methods.
The story line is ok. However Julie is an idiot. Never put your gun in your purse so where’s her’s. Let’s the man she believes is a killer into her home, puts her gun on top of the refrigerator. Instead of going to her car to get her cell phone (yes she left it in her car)
She leaves her daughter in the house ( with the supposed killer) to go out into a storm to ask a stranger to call 911. Her character’s incompetence ruined this book
I won’t be reading any more of this series
In keeping with his trademark style, Dan Brown, author of The Da Vinci Code and Inferno, interweaves codes, science, religion, history, art, and architecture in this new novel. Origin thrusts Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon into the dangerous intersection of humankind's two most enduring questions - and the earthshaking discovery that will answer them.
I’m currently on chapter 22 and still nothing has happened. Maybe just slow to start, but I don’t have that kinda time to waste. I’ll be returning this book.

I did not realize that this was short stories. I don’t care for any short stories.
So I’ll be returning this book.
If you like short stories then this would be a great book. Narration is spot on.
Just not for me

The Drenai King is dead - murdered by a ruthless assassin. Enemy troops swarm into Drenai lands. Their orders are simple - kill every man, woman and child. But there is hope. Stalked by men who act like beasts and beasts that walk like men, the warrior Waylander must journey into the shadow-haunted lands of the Nadir to find the legendary Armour of Bronze. With this he can turn the tide. But can he be trusted? For he is Waylander the Slayer. The traitor who killed the King...
What would have made Waylander better?
I had a hard time following this story.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I didn't care for the narration of this book. Seems flat. I had to keep turning up the volume as if his speech was getting softer

Celaena Sardothien is her kingdom's most feared assassin. Though she works for the powerful and ruthless Assassin's Guild, Celaena yields to no one and trusts only her fellow killer for hire, Sam. When Celaena's scheming master, Arobynn Hamel, dispatches her on missions that take her from remote islands to hostile deserts, she finds herself acting independently of his wishes - and questioning her own allegiance. Along the way, she makes friends and enemies alike, and discovers that she feels far more for Sam than just friendship.
What disappointed you about The Assassin's Blade?
I was expecting a book about an assassin or at least one in training
Has The Assassin's Blade turned you off from other books in this genre?
No this is just a poorly written book
Ten years ago Hell Diver Xavier "X" Rodriguez fell to Earth. Those he left behind went on without him aboard the airship he once called home. Michael Everheart - the boy once known as Tin - has grown into a man and the commander of Hell Diver Raptor Team. While Michael dives to help keep the Hive in the air, Captain Leon Jordan rules with an iron fist at the helm of the ship. But unrest stirs under his strict leadership as a prophecy of hope sweeps the lower decks.
Would you listen to Hell Divers II: Ghosts again? Why?
I plan on listening to book 1 and 2 again
Any additional comments?
How long will we have to wait for book 3. Not to long please
