Where does Behind Her Eyes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

As far as audiobooks go, I've listened to more than 103 books to date. To date this is definitely one of the best books I've listened to or read. I rank Behind Her Eyes in my top 5 of the audiobooks I've listened to. And all of the narrators were awesome!

What other book might you compare Behind Her Eyes to and why?

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn; The Girl Before by J.P. Delaney; No Longer Safe by A.J. Wines; Girl On A Train by A.J. Waines; Line of Vision by David Ellis. I would compare this book to them because of the suspense it keeps you in throughout the entire story and for the unexpected, unimaginable and very creative ending.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

I enjoyed Adele & Louise the most.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE TURN THIS STORY INTO A FILM!!! I would use the tag line "INNER ME" or "YOU FOR ME, ME FOR YOU" or "ETERNAL OBSESSION."

Any additional comments?

I extremely enjoyed the book from the beginning to end but the ending had me astounded!! My draw dropped! I was like GTFOOH!! I would have never imagined the reality and truth of what really happened unless the author broke it down the way she did. The way Sarah Pinborough threw us for a loop and then ties it in all together makes this a phenomenal book!

Would you try another book from Francis Ray and/or Betty Hart?

Maybe, but definitely not if Betty Hart is the narrator. Ms. Hart voice sounds synthesized...like the Google voice. She reads with no emotion...very detached from the characters.

Would you ever listen to anything by Francis Ray again?

Not sure. Maybe if Francis Ray used a different narrator.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Betty Hart sounds voice is emotionless and sounds artificial.

What character would you cut from Twice the Temptation?

I didn't finish the book. I couldn't take listening to the narrator a minute longer.

Two years ago, to everyone's surprise, Dillon Whitfield Black, the secret son of Reverend Curtis Black, boldly moved back home, married a woman named Raven, decided he was going to become a minister, and then founded a church right in the center of his living room. Today he's pastor of a 1,000-plus-member congregation, and new members are joining weekly. Sadly, behind closed doors Dillon is far from being a saint. He has become more like the man his father was 30 years ago - consumed with money, power, and lots of women.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

No one I know personally.

Would you ever listen to anything by Kimberla Lawson Roby again?

Yes

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Both narrators sounded so detached and their voices in no way identified with the characters.

What character would you cut from A Sinful Calling?

I didn't get far enough into the book to decide that. They were all getting on my nerves.

Any additional comments?

I read and loved all of the other Reverend Black books by Kimberla Lawson Roby but this book should not have been written. The story line is weak, the narrators sound like they should be reading a National Geographic documentary or a child's story and it was just boring and poorly written. In Chapter 3 you have one of the characters "praying to God." That was just an awful way to fill readers in on details the author wanted us to know about the character and his past sins and current desires, pride and greed.

Riveting, enticing, disappointed

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I don't want to say too much, but I was very, very disappointed with the ending. It was just so unbelievable and fairytale-ish. We find out who killed Johnny and the reason for killing Johnny was just stupid and unrealistic.

Would you consider the audio edition of Line of Vision to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version.

What did you like best about this story?

The plot had a lot of twists and turns and kept me interested from beginning to end!

What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love Dick Hill's voice & his narration! Mr. Hill's voice is engaging, appealing and I very much enjoyed his narration. He wasn't bland and montotone sounding like other authors. I have actually returned many books strictly because I couldn't endure listening to the narrarator's voice. But Dick Hill brought the story and the characters to life and I could envsion this book as a movie playing in my mind as I listened to every scene. I am currently searching for other books with Dick Hill as the narrarator.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Deception

Any additional comments?

Great plot. Great narrarator. You won't be disappointed!
